“Please consider bringing chains if you plan to travel through mountain passes.”

I’m pretty sure carrying chains is mandatory when traveling through mountains in winter, but I may be all wet…
I usually am after I put them on!

I think more people need to read this update. Also don’t lie to Caltrans that you have chains. It can effect you and others on the road.

many modern cars and trucks state in their owners manuals that chains should never be placed on them. chains are not a replacement for good winter tires and studs, however in this backwards state studs are against the law. not sure how that happened outlawing a safety device but then again what does makes sense in california.

stringent controls on pesticides in our FOOD and poison in our AIR and WATER (doh, who knew?) make a lot of sense. Only a moron like Trump can’t understand the importance of the AIR and WATER. so naturally he dumbs down Pollution regs for Big Ag and the car companies. You like that? Your handle is very honest; you get points for honesty.
