Even I could have told you that a “Cal Poly Employee” would only have, at most, a cell phone, a couple bucks in his wallet, and his lunchbag…

Cal Poly employees are poorly paid, but maybe he had a laptop…

This area is a very poor bet for an upgraded University, and even at Stanford, the other night, a woman was dragged into a basement and raped.

College towns are not sanctuaries, and everyone is warned to get an escort from the campus police, if walking around Arcata in the wee hours…

In 1979, I worked at the UC Davis Medical School, and the building, MS1, was wide open, all day and until 10PM, and, since I was on call, I had a key to the Medical School!

I’m pretty sure the often-robbed businesses in Arcata, would tell anyone not to go to school there, but, this is another example of the culture Humboldt has spawned, there where the discredited and fully embarrassed former mayor refuses to resign, even though he was arrested for DUI, forced to go to rehab, and then unpunished for harassing his coworker… And now, he is on the ballot for another term!!

Unbelievable selection of sites for Cal Poly, and, an overall stupid place to send your children to be educated.

Maybe I’m cynical, but when I read the headline, my first reaction was a chuckle..?
I thought crime was only supposed to happen in “uneducated” communities!?
It’s good to know that the “educated” cal poly autonomous zone, which theoretically champions the position of the “disproportionate”, well, it’s good to see them live their values.
Take one for the team right?

Also I wanna know why you have an issue with an education based autonomous zone. Like clearly you would have free reign over whatever you wanted to be taught.

Are you just scared no one will show up to you “class”?

If so that is sad.

These maggots might attempt to rob the wrong person who will defend themself with deadly force. Think of the savings for the taxpayers who won’t have to pay the court costs, appointed lawyer, jail and prison costs, and medical fees. It will be a service to the public.

EXCEPT that California laws make it illegal to have a firearm on campus, so sadly staff aren’t allowed to protect themselves because the state doesn’t recognize constitutional rights. So the end result is criminals can, and law abiding people cannot. Lets go BRANDON

I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Another reason why we have the 2nd Amendment.

I call it driving a “meth mobile” lol. You can always tell, there are no hubcaps on the meth mobile due to high speed chases.

Absolutely, Ullr. How can an employee or student be unsafe anywhere in California where the liberal loonies protect us so efficiently from ourselves? Didn’t these two victims of systemic racism and class disparity read the signs that say “no firearms on campus”? Or are they victims of a “systemically biased” education system and simply were unable to read the signs?

? no, wait, California has a celebrated, diverse and inclusive education system. That couldn’t have been the problem…

Darn, I guess we need our Marxist overlords to tell us how and why such a thing like this could happen at an inclusive University, in such an inclusive and diverse town in California.

Facing the threat of great bodily harm is a horrible experience. I am confident the victim will receive the necessary care and attention from Cal Poly PD and mental health professionals.

I love how the Crime Prevention Tips have nothing to do with this particular robbery. Lol. Also how the press release gives the impression that all crime will be reported publicly and immediately.. but we already know that sexual assaults and rapes are not publicized as the school must maintain it’s reputation as a “safe campus”. Beware-because predators do exist. Take care.
