Large Convoy East of Alderpoint

CDFW vehicles staging at the Alderpoint Road and Bell-Springs Road intersection.

California Department of Fish and Game vehicles were spotted staging at the Pratt pull-out along Alderpoint Road just after 7 a.m. this morning, August September 8th.

Travelers and residents witnessed the convoy passing the town of Alderpoint with additional unmarked vehicles and towing a skid-steer. The last confirmed sighting was near the Cal Fire Station on Alderpoint Road near the Hoaglin Road intersection.

Skid-steer equipment typically accompanies convoys targeting illegal cannabis grows, though the type of enforcement activity has not yet been confirmed.

We are contacting the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office for more information.

Ha ha ha They will burn the money by driving way out passing a dozen grows before getting to one that’s smaller. Just like the sheriff they will realize how hot it is out there and how futile their effort is and become extremely demotivated. Then they’ll spend most of their day in their air-conditioned trucks thinking up violations to write up and begin paperwork. A couple guys will maybe pull some plants. They will provide the press with photos from earlier files because it’s too hot to go outside to get new ones. On days like this you need to be already out and working by 7 am- not waiting for your friends on the main road. Stay Hydrated Everybody!!!

I was thinking the same thing! The bigger the grow, the safer you are.. the cops are all suited and booted and it’s hot as hell, so they will go for the low hanging fruit

At a recent bust next door to me they chopped some plants and tossed them but missed many…left to grow. It was just deputies, no fish & game or water folks. Kind of a joke.

Let me make it easier for ’em! Jest drive up the black top for another hour until ya get to the dirt road in the fork, follow that for about an hour until ya come to the locked gate. Wait there for me. It might be awhile cuz I.but not there.

“Lisa” is not the magic word.

And I reported it to Kym around 7:40 AM.

Not sure if that’s where Lisa or Kym got the “Heads Up”…

Maybe you missed it?

And why are you addressing me with your concerns?

More hypocrisy?

Go back to sleep, please.

Thank you for the heads up but unfortunately I did not see that until this evening when I had time to catch up on my RHBB reading.

I am very fortunate to have great sources along AP road that called me early this morning. I was able to confirm with a couple others within a few minutes and a social media post.
Thanks for keeping me on my toes, I lost a whole month there in all the excitement. I appreciate all the help I can get on the crazy days like today.

Great news, love to hear more about the busts that are coming. Enjoy knowing that more of this simple plant that you can grow on your own legally, is being removed from our fragile remote environments. Keep removing these grow punks from our communities!!

Probably better to let them harvest and have to deal with all the costs then get stuck not being able to sell their weed. Seriously, people are losing money on their grows. Better to let the economics crush em as opposed to wasting tax dollars busting them….the market is sooo flooded. On the retail level the consumer is really ONLY interested in indoor grown cannabis. The consumer doesn’t really want Humboldt Sun bud. Take True Humboldt for example. They have hundreds of farms under their label, but sold less than $2M worth of cannabis last year. That’s $2M split between countless farms. The people who started True Humboldt quit and sold their farms. This is significant, because old Rexx gave these folks the very 1st cannabis permits in the county. So, the biggest growers with the most money when weed was illegal all failed trying to go legit. This is a cautionary ⚠️ tale for anyone still trying survive the Humboldt outdoor game….

The dispensaries pricing outdoor at the same prices as indoor was duplicitous as they certainly were not paying farmers of outdoor the same price as indoor.

Once end users caught on to this they began demanding only indoor, although in some cases outdoor can be very good quality.

And the profit margin on indoor, with its increased overhead per pound, is hardly viable given current market prices are based on black market deps rather than indoor. Even as indoor growers switched to LEDs, the rising cost of electricity chased them.

We are already seeing businesses shuttered. No fish farm or university growth is going to replace black market cannabis as the number one source of income for Humboldt county.

On the other hand, humans are doing absolutely nothing to control our population, so eventually everywhere will be filled up, even Humboldt. Interesting to imagine what our future holds.

2011 world population estimated at 7 billion. Today it’s estimated at 7.7. Expected to rise to 9.7 billion by 2050 according to the UN.

In my travels zero humans have made any statement about indoor. They ask if I got any more weed. They open the baggie take a whiff and then ask how much. No discussion of any cannabis aficionados rhetoric about indoor or DEP or outdoor. The spewage ya’ll talk about only exists in your heads and the business plans of Cannabis companies tryin to waste billions on bullshit lies.

Never been asked but I amend my soil with only what mother nature provides. Never used neem oil and all plants are properly cured. I never seen a need to change the way I grow. Indoor and DEP grown plants are ugly to me.

We have seen the same. The outdoor produced on my property is selling at the same price as the greenhouse bud. 700/lb. Our buyers have been the same folks for a decade. We have recently added a shop in Chico and a few other shops in Yuba City. They are owned by family members. All the bulk goes to a family operation in Minneapolis that we have dealt with since 1997.

On top of True Humboldt collapsing Emerald Family Farms was sued for millions of dollars and lost. They had all their property and stuff repossessed. The Chivaly guy reported on it a few weeks back, but Kym never did!

Well the end result was a bunch of legal growers were released back into the wild, lol. No surprise, ya let go the people who built your successful business. I mean what did they think they were not gonna grow anymore or help others grow, funny shit! Talk about biting ya in the ass.

What percentage of Humboldt county residents will end up having to move away after they kill off black market cannabis? 40%?

There’s nothing on the horizon that might replace our county’s number one source of income.

Interesting all I ever hear about is cartel taken over Mendocino, but haven’t really heard any big busts over there.

That sauce – if you believe on “Cartel Take Over” stories, then the reason for no busts in Mendocino its likely because the Cartel has higher (on their books) power at their disposal.
