[UPDATE 5:35 p.m.: More Roads Impacted] Two Southern Humboldt Roads Affected by Rain Today
Information from the County of Humboldt:
Shelter Cove Road near Bear Creek Road, the culvert is overwhelmed causing a large amount of excess water to run down the roadway. Slow down and drive accordingly.
Briceland Thorne Road at PM 3.08 near Chemise Mountain Road, the culvert is overwhelmed as well. Causing a large amount of excess water to run down the roadway. Slow down and drive accordingly.
Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
UPDATE 5:35 p.m.: Puma Road at PM 1.0, in Shelter Cove, is closed due to a slip out. Please use alternate routes.
Chemise Mountain Road, just over the Mendocino County Line, is closed due to a land slide. Crews are enroute. Unknown estimated time of reopening.

Do we still have to not divert water past April first?
I believe the 2 locations (Shelter Cove Rd/Bear Creek Rd and Briceland-Thorn Rd near Chemise Mtn Rd) are the same place. Have not heard of a Bear Creek Rd.
Bear Creek runs on the east side of Chemise Mtn Rd, then along the south side of Shelter Cove Rd, and then goes under Shelter Cove Rd near the intersection of the two roads. It’s a low area on the road and has flooded before.
I think you are correct. Briceland-Thorne Road goes left at Thorne Junction, while Shelter Cove Road goes right, over Paradise Ridge, and intersects with Chemise Mountain Road.
