Masks Still Required in Humboldt Superior Courtrooms and at the Clerk’s Office
Judges will have full discretion during courtroom proceedings to allow individuals addressing the court to remove their masks if individuals cannot be clearly

“Residents, particularly those who are unvaccinated, are urged to continue to take protective measures against COVID-19 by washing hands frequently, wearing a well-fitted mask approved by the CDC, distancing six feet from others when possible and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces.”

After the protesters left the campus, tensions rose. While SHUSD Superintendent, Stephanie Steffano-Davis, spoke with HCSO officers, students were yelling across the street. According to Boughner they were heckling her about not wearing a mask. Although Steffano-Davis was outdoors while she was without a mask, Boughner said that students are frustrated with her telling them to mask up constantly, even while in the hallways. Others were yelling at her for contacting law enforcement.
