People often drive down center of road . Road is too narrow for dotted line in middle. No fog lines either.
Not a fun road especially if it’s night, with some ground fog and if ditch-filling water is present. You simply can’t see the road in places as the grass obscures everything on the side too, even in daytime. I’ve had to dip out in driveways just on some average sunny day because some bonehead in a truck is doing 60 at me with no F88ks to give.
Yeah, it’s tough. People just have to slow down to suit ambient weather and road conditions. Trying to make the universe suit US rather than the reverse is a rocky row to hoe.
They should call it “Barely Road”
Not to victim blame, but if it were me and as soon as I saw something in the road.
Check your driving style,if something is in the road in front of you, slow down. If it is still there when you get up to it, stop your car and let the other guy evade you,or not.
Stay in your lane.
Road twists and turns with small ups and downs. Blind spots all over.
Problem is, you can’t see other drivers until you come around a corner, of which there are many. It hasn’t helped that the brush hasn’t been cleared along the entire road by roads department. I know they don’t have staff. People drive in center of road for best visibility.
You’ve got to be kidding, right? Trolling!? You can’t see other drivers around the corner, so go ahead and drive down the center for better visibility? Of what? Somebody plowing head-on into your rig? What a death trap that road must be.
Upvote not working again. Expect resistance to “slow down” and “stay in your lane.”

I’d say the “suspicious vehicle” is part of a yarn created to cover the driver’s impairment, driving in the dark without lights!
Are the lights not functioning as a result of the crash? Or was the crash a result of non-functioning lights?
