Arcata Recreation Youth Basketball Registration Opens on September 30th

Registration for Arcata Recreation 2025 Youth Basketball League opens on Monday, Sept. 30. This program is offered to first – sixth graders. Arcata’s Youth Basketball program is committed to providing a fun and safe learning environment, while focusing on skill development and sportsmanship.

Beginning the week of Jan. 6, teams practice one night per week for one hour at the Arcata Community Center. Specific days and times will be determined by coaches. Games are played on Saturdays, Jan. 18 to March 8 (no games on Feb. 15).

Register online at cityofarcata.org/rec or through the Recreation office. The registration fee includes a team t-shirt. Scholarships covering a percentage of the activity fee are available to youth from income qualifying households. Contact the Recreation Division for more information on how to apply for the scholarship. Registration closes once the division is full or no later than Monday, Nov. 25. Please be aware that some divisions do fill quickly. Register early to guarantee a spot!
