[UPDATE 7:37 p.m.] Large Law Enforcement Presence Searching for Suspect(s) Near Fairhaven West of Eureka

This evening, a significant law enforcement presence has been reported near Fay Street in the area known as Finn Town, located north of Fairhaven. Multiple Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies, along with K-9 units and officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), are on the scene, actively searching for suspect(s).

The reason for the search has not yet been disclosed publicly. The presence of K-9 units and a drone suggests that authorities are engaged in a serious operation.

We’ve reached out to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office for further details on the situation and will update this article as more information becomes available.

Please avoid the area if possible to allow law enforcement to conduct their investigation.
