Cookies, Native Humboldt Co-Hosting Educational Forum on Cannabis Industry for Tribal Leaders and Entrepreneurs
Press release from Cookies and Native Humboldt Farms:
International cannabis and lifestyle brand Cookies is partnering with Native Humboldt Farms, an indigenous-led legacy cannabis brand founded by Lindsey Renner, to co-host the Sovereignty Summit, an immersive, three-day educational forum at the Cookies’ One Log Campus in Northern California’s Humboldt County from Sept. 5-7. The event brings together industry thought leaders and Tribal leaders from across the nation to facilitate the conversations and collaborations needed to support tribes as they embark on the creation of a sovereign cannabis market.
“Tribal Nations are in a unique position, operating with a level of sovereignty similar to foreign nations,” said Lindsey Renner, Founder of Native Humboldt and enrolled member of the Round Valley Indian Tribes. “We’re seeing a lot of tribes getting into cannabis individually. It’s an important moment to facilitate collaboration and bring Tribal leaders together. This summit will provide the opportunity for leaders of these nations to bridge the gap and share resources and be stronger together.”
The Sovereignty Summit will offer an intimate setting with panels, roundtable discussions and networking led by some of the most influential people in the cannabis industry. Among attendees will be leaders of 23 influential Tribal Nations throughout the United States such as: Flandreau Santee Sioux (South Dakota), Fort Belknap Indian Community (Montana), Red Lake Nation (Minnesota), Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate (North Dakota / South Dakota), Big Valley Rancheria (California) and the Muscogee Nation (Oklahoma). The goal of the summit is to provide the support and resources needed to ensure successful outcomes in Tribal markets.
“Shaping newly emerging markets is no small feat,” says Amanda Friedman, Head of Social Impact at Cookies. “Our goal is to further empower Tribal leaders with learnings from mature markets, to share knowledge & resources, and provide access to existing ecosystems to support a successful Tribal market.”
The Sovereignty Summit is proudly supported by the premier cannabis cultivation platform AROYA, committed to impactful partnerships for a thriving cannabis industry. Visit them at aroya.io.

Where and when does this take place
The press release states, “One Log Campus in Northern California’s Humboldt County from Sept. 5-7.”
Oh that is SO nice….They are turning it on to the natives just before the brand goes belly up lol…
Or is it they are trying to scrape up some of those funds the local natives receive? Beware Beware….
Definitely beware anytime Cookies is involved. Shady motherfuckers all the way around
Vulture capital in benevolent drag .
There is no such thing as benevolent drag. All drag is a combination of parodying women, usually in a very petty way, to show that men can out woman women anytime they want and pointing out that men who appreciate women are fools for buying into it.
I didn’t know that’s what drag was all about. But then, I’m a certified fool.
Please do what you think is best for your soul. Femininity should never be tied to capitalism—things like wigs, makeup, or sexualized clothes shouldn’t define it. True feminine energy is about nurturing and caring, not wearing a costume. The real issue is how capitalism has pressured women into altering their bodies to fit a certain image. Everyone has the same nose these days, and that is the problem.
It’s not about people expressing themselves through sequins. Let people be authentic in their own skin and be kind.
I agree with Kicking Bul. Vulture capitalism is very alive in the cannabis industry. Keep your souls right, people. With the DCC doing an audit on the planning department grants, we actually get to see that not only did they allow for the stacking of permits, but they also allowed people to stack grants. 60K per project. How much do you think cookies got?
Cookies warning!

Bullshit! It’s a failing franchise just looking to steal more investment dollars. Hasn’t enriched anyone but senior management bonuses. In LA at the top of a parking garage most of the product being purchased by traditional market buyers is in cookies packaging.
It’s odd how these cannabis people think those that actually participated in the war on drugs are not aware of their business practices. We have operated business in this industry for over 60+ years. You don’t just run a business that long successfully without knowing your competition. They do understand one of our biggest competitors were federal and state government? Maybe they don’t I don’t know.
Currently, pre harvest 2024 the businesses that have operated for as long as I can remember are still thriving. Meanwhile, any business using the word “Cannabis” has either failed or is near failure. I would hate to see the tribes heading towards this demise.
In my opinion the tribes are the only ones that could keep Big Pharm in check. Now that Big Tobacco and Big Soda/Spirits got its ass kicked they have cut funding to zero. They touted stay alive til 2025 but most won’t make it as those trenches sunset. The CEO of cookies knows it since many of cookies trenches sunset in May 2025.
To Lindsey, I am cool with the workshops and knowledge but don’t commit or give those venture capalists a fuck’in dime. You are in a unique position that allows the tribes to make a great product on your own and provide decent pricing models the corporate assholes can’t compete against. The tribes already produce tobacco as a good business model. I know a few tribal members that grow dank weed and have great genetics. Look within Lindsey!
Cookies ? Berner, Jai? Oh please,What a joke, that bloke rode the coat tails of annyb he could in the cannabis industry and stole ip from anyone hard working entrepreneurs or basically anyone he could.
How fitting he’s now handing out blankets at a tribal event held by themselves. Sound familiar?
