[Update] Two-Vehicle Collision on Central Avenue in McKinleyville

Traffic CollisionTraffic appears snarled on Central Avenue in McKinleyville following a non-injury collision, first reported around 2:20 p.m. on August 26.

According to scanner traffic, the two involved vehicles, were out of the roadway, however, according to the reporting party, occupants of the two vehicles were in an argument in the northbound lane of Central Avenue, blocking traffic.

The CHP Traffic Incident Information page reports that the crash involved a burgundy Jeep and a white pickup truck.

Upon arrival, CHP reported there was no physical fight occurring.

Update 8/27: A witness to the collision reached out to RHBB to inform us that the burgundy Jeep mentioned in the article was a witness to the collision, not an involved party.

We have reached out to the Humboldt Office of CHP for additional information on the collision.
