Kamala’s early days climbing the SF political ladder.

Vote Trump not Tramp!

I hope you took my words about reading replies to comments you made to heart because this was your one freebie on sexualizing candidates. You are permanently banned if you post anything even mildly similar again. Those are badly photoshopped sexualized images of Kamala and I’ve already expressed that this is against the rules and you are already on moderation. My patience with your lack of research or desire to disseminate false info is done.

The unusual but factual story about Tim Walz and horse semen, 1st paragraph 6th line.

Dems are known for their weird behavior but this one takes the cake.

And Dems want Stolen Valor Tim a heartbeat away from the Oval Office? No thanks!

Save America, vote Trump ’24!

This is allowed one time under the theory that you might be unaware this a hoax. However, could you please just search a story before you post it? There are multiple sites showing its a hoax. But in hopes of speaking a language you will trust, I’m linking the appalling site Info Wars. https://www.infowars.com/posts/no-tim-walz-did-not-drink-horse-semen/ Here are dozens more refuting the absurd claim: https://www.google.com/search?q=waltz+horse+semen+true%3F&oq=waltz+horse+semen+true%3F&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCDY0NzlqMGo3qAIIsAIB&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Don’t repeat it again.

I would like the federal government to focus on fiscal responsibility and avoiding our involvement in wars. Of course there’s more to it than those two things, but I think those two things are extremely important.

We could cut our military budget in half and it would still be larger than China and Russia combined.

You reminded me to look again at China’s.

“China’s real military budget is far bigger. Just last week Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK), revealed on the floor of the Senate that “They [intelligence officials] came out and said the real Chinese budget, in terms of military, is probably close to about $700 billion dollars.” This far more competitive figure is equivalent to roughly 4 percent of the PRC’s GDP.”

(From 2023)

But who really knows. I mean maybe the US is inflating the numbers.

Certainly the military budget deserves close scrutiny. There are many, many other places that could be cut or entirely eliminated.

“Los Angeles, Sacramento and HUMBOLDT were the top three destinations for homeless people traveling within California”

Although the sample size in this survey was much too small to be considered meaningful,
this does expose a major flaw in the oft-repeated refrain of ‘just send them somewhere else.’
Somewhere else is still somewhere.
And exporting the problem does nothing to actually solve the problem.
If we want to actually solve homelessness, we need:
quality mental healthcare facilities- compulsory, if necessary.
quality drug and alcohol treatment facilities- again, compulsory if necessary,
free shelters and campgrounds,
and subsidized housing.

Do people actually “oft repeat” that? On this site? Could you provide examples? Seems San Francisco and Sacramento, liberal bastions, are the ones doing the sending.
There is no “solving” homelessness by providing health care and housing while allowing masses of immigrant labor to work cheaply and then require their care be subsidized. Certainly there is no solving of drug addiction while allowing basically unlimited drug trafficking.
Who is to pay for health care workers, building housing and treatment when there is a problem already with people earning enough to buy housing, groceries and pay utilities much less insurance and taxes? Oh wait, now is the time when the “tax the rich” is chanted. Unfortunately there aren’t enough rich and they are much better at getting government (liberal government as much as anyone else) to shelter their income. So who ends up doing the actual paying? The ever fewer non government workers left who don’t have the government’s ear. The great former middle class. Who are not pleased with the one-two punch of paying to support people who make their life harder while being attacked as if they are the problem.
Hello! Try to get a dentist, health care (actual doctor is next to impossible) or even a veterinarian if you don’t already have one. No one here needs to support more people not being productive and trying to compete with those you think should be supported.

I’m not going to dig through articles on homelessness in Humboldt.
But yes, ‘send them to the Bay Area’ is oft repeated.
I will, however repeat (but not chant) that we need to tax the rich.
People and corporations should be paying 50% on all earnings in excess of $1 million.
Use that money to improve the quality of life of the rest of us- including ending homelessness.

When unicorns fart rainbows that is certainly a possibility. But in the real world, there are whole industries of lawyer seeking ways to use laws to their rich client’s advantage, legislators writing laws from ideas supplied by lobby groups and, even if these legislators are totally honest and well intentioned (laugh track here), they simply write laws so complex they leave lots of holes, refuse to pay to catch fraud and misuse with the delusional belief it saves money and technology evolves faster than legislators can possible act leaving government playing catch up which they tend to see as needing new laws that start the same cycle again. Not to mention the rich can alway take their money and move it out of the reach of government if the government makes that worth the effort. And your (BTW insufficient tax levels) surely do make it worthwhile.

The real world solution lies in the hands of having many more individuals fund their own security rather than have huge investor pots with a few financial CEOs maximizing it for them. Government employees are in fact, not doing much better than the non governmental (because no legislator wants government employees complaining to him daily) whole working, but their huge benefit investment funds drive the very market you dream will pay more taxes. Not only are they doing better while working, they really are the beneficiaries of the capital investment companies. For “the people” to benefit, there needs to be a lot less government taking and taking. And good luck selling that idea to the government which not surprisingly is chock full of those reaping the benefit of government. And likely also includes those wanting “rich people” to pay, not realizing they are the rivpch people in question. .
