On this day:
In 1722 the Three Years War began which resulted in the New England colonies seizing the lands of the Wabanaki Confederation.
In 1814, US troops attempted to invade Canada near Niagara Falls.
In 1868 the Wyoming Territory was formed from lands previously belonging to the Sioux, Shoshone, Cheyenne, Blackfeet, Crow, and Nez Perce.
In 1898, US troops began the invasion of Puerto Rico which would later result in the island becoming a US territory.

The United States acquired California from Mexico through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, which was signed on February 2, 1848, ending the Mexican-American War (1846-1848). The treaty ceded 55% of Mexico’s territory to the U.S., including California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and parts of Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Wyoming. In exchange, the U.S. paid Mexico $15 million and agreed to settle damage claims. The treaty also established the Rio Grande as the U.S.-Mexican border, and Mexico recognized the U.S. annexation of Texas.
Re the 1722 entry- this was the start of the fourth war in the series. The third war in the series ended with a treaty settling boundaries that the English did not respect. “Following the peace, New England settlements expanded east of the Kennebec River, and significant numbers of New Englanders began fishing in Nova Scotia waters. They established a permanent fishing settlement at Canso which upset the local Miꞌkmaq, who then began raiding the settlement and attacking the fishermen.” Damned illegal immigrants….
On this day not in history there were about 11 million unauthorized immigrants living in the US.
Of course lots of significant skirmishes happen across tribes through the pre-Columbian world. However since no written languages existed for these tribes, the details are unknown.

Very sad, 40% of of Americans, even more of our friends in California have been lost, unable to think for themselves. Just last week everyone acknowledged Kamala was dumb as a box of rocks but now Dem skies tell their lemmings she’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, only slightly less extraordinary than the Alzheimer’s patient occupying the White House, so get in line to vote for Kamala!

I guess if you’re an anointed candidate in the Democrat party, you’re platform is… “but, Trump!”
Dems would vote for a corpse in a coffin if the administrative state told them to. Besides, Kamala is the DEI (Didn’t Earn It) candidate so if she’s not worthy of advancement then what’s that day about all the other DEI hires throughout government and business?
Harris’s platform aligns with several key Democratic positions.
Climate Change: She supports the Paris climate accord and believes action is necessary to combat climate change.
Education: Harris advocates for free tuition at four-year public colleges for most Americans. She would enact the “College for All Act.”
Guns: She supports banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
Health Care: Harris supports moving toward universal, government-run health care, often referred to as “Medicare for All.”
If this is true, and if she’s willing to do more than to simply say that she supports these things, that would be awesome.
It’s a collaborative effort! The ability to implement changes depends on cooperation from Congress and the Senate.

As far as her background goes, she is the first woman, the first black American, and the first South Asian American to be elected Vice President of the United States. Her diverse background reflects the changing face of America.

Recent studies suggest that a majority of voters under thirty believe that politics would benefit from greater diversity, including more minorities, women in office, and young people. Their focus extends to issues such as climate change, abortion, and promoting diversity.

It’s true that Harris made a remark calling people in the 18–24 age range “stupid” during a speech in 2014. But she wasn’t directly talking about “voters.”
Harris was recounting various efforts to reduce incarceration and recidivism among young adults and was commenting on the decision-making tendencies of those newly entering adulthood.
Here is the quote:
“So we designed this program around the 18 through 24 [age range] mostly but it was usually up to 30 [years old]. First time, low-level drug sales offender… And here’s what we did. We recognized the fact that 18 through 24 — when I was at Howard University and we were in college, we were 18 through 24, and you know what we were called? College kids. But when you turn 18 and you’re in the system, you are considered an adult, period. Without any regard to the fact that, that is the very phase of life in which we have invested billions of dollars in colleges and universities knowing that, that is the prime phase of life during which we mold and shape and direct someone to become a productive adult. What’s the other thing we know about this population? And it’s a specific phase of life, remember, age is more than a chronological fact. What else do we know about this population of 18 through 24? They are stupid. [Crowd laughs.] That is why we put them in dormitories, and they have a resident assistant. They make really bad decisions. So we focused on that age population.”
Kamala was my choice from the beginning. I think she will give Trump a serious run for his money. He has already been outed for spouting at least 10 lies about Kamala by a reputable factcheck. You and he both have real trouble with numbers. Am looking at Trump’s campaign already falling into panic mode. They know he’s now the old man who can’t stop sucking up to dictators. He should have resigned both the presidency and his established reelection candidacy, simultaneously, then Kamala would become president, and then she could run as the incumbent, no questions asked…
As it is, Biden should immediately face the 25th Amendment, for being admittedly unfit for what he has been elected for by his electorate, in this case, reelection.

If anyone else, got more votes than Harris, in each of the delegates districts, then by goodness, that is the person that each of the delegates should, in good conscience, be casting their votes for in the vice presidential nomination ceremony, ESPECIALLY, IF HARRIS RECEIVED ZERO PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY VOTES, ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE.
Like I said, in 2020, Trump was not the top Electoral college vote getter, so there is no way that Pence should have declared Trump President…
Same with Harris, she did not receive the most presidential primary votes, nor probably the second most.
So there is no way that she should be simply declared the 2024, presidential election nominee, due to the fact that she was not duly chosen, by the representative voters of America.
Harris, if nominated, and/ or elected, would represent nothing more than the epitome of literal misrepresentation, due to the Democrat voters being defrauded.
If the Democrats ran Biden unchallenged and unopposed, for the 2024 presidential primary, Biden has created a travesty out of the US Presidential Election System, and he and his administration have defrauded Americans, by Biden subsequently dropping out, without a duly elected fall back candidate to step in, which has received the next most presidential primary votes.
Harris doesn’t cut it.
All that Biden can do with good conscience, and with any shred of dignity, is to resign the presidency, and let the chips fall where they may.
No way should he be able to simply back out, or step aside from an “all in” position.

Fear of Trump led to Demoracts running Biden for President when it was clear he was not capable. Now Fear of Trump has led them to toss out their own convention rules to prevent any dissenting candidates from messing the election up. “Democratic National Convention are in a mad dash to accommodate a new nominee, a re-crafted program and a highly compressed deadline to pull everything off as though this was the plan all along.”

And don’t bother saying they are not the same thing. Of course they are not. But they are the same sort of thing. A transfer of sexual proclivities from the issue of judging personality to the judging fitness for office. Of which Harris’s are more questionable.
Trump was, and probably would still be if not for his late life political aspiration, a philandering braggart with little respect for women in general. He has always seen himself as that. It seems his adherents can ignore it in their pusuit of other issues. But one thing that can be said is that he never had any material or political advantage given to him by his affairs.
On the other hand, Kamala Harris did receive material political and monetary advantage from hers. That unfortunately raises issues of malfeasance, not just sexual behavior, for her. It is not just a matter of unfair gender differing standards. It may not be totally fair but it should not be sanitized in the name of gender equality either.
There is a big difference between sleeping with a man who has been separated publicly from his wife for 10 years and repeatedly cheating publicly on women who have made it clear they are unhappy with it. IF you aren’t clear on the difference between calling a woman a whore for having consensual sex with a long time separated partner and calling a man that said that he disrespects women by grabbing them by the pussy when they haven’t indicated they want it, a pussy grabber, then that’s on you.
In Harris’s case, if her relationship with Willie Brown led to unethical advantages, that warrants scrutiny. Say as does Trump’s relationships with Putin or other powerful figures like Epstein, certain news reporters, etc. However, pushing very sexualized narratives of her is gender based and repulsive. And I will be enforcing this.
