Hope the hunters cleared the ridge and out before the downdrafts start. Pray they are out of harms way.
I also pray the animals are out of harms.

Thank you for the timely news!
Power went out by Kelseyville, but was restored in about an hour.
PGE will install a bypass meter for free, and you can use a generator straight into your electric panel. Info at
pge.com/backuppower
Got mine today.
Be safe out there, stiff wind blowing in tonight…
Thanks for the info, I really could use one, the power goes out on my street frequently.
Just so you are aware those bypass meters are only for 30 amp generators , hiring an electrician to install a transfer switch that is sized for your loads and generator is always the best way to go , not to mention having a good electrician taking a look over your panels and condition of your wiring is never a bad thing . Often they can spot problems before they start to spark . Check for signs of over heating loose wires ensuring that the proper grounding and bonding are clean and tight that sub panels are not bonded to neutrals ect .
Yes, electricity is dangerous.
I have received little help from electricians, over the last 11 years here, but my needs are smaller than many people’s, and my panel is modern.
PGE came over in less than 10 days with my Bypass Meter, and the installer said he had put in 1500 of them in Lake County.
PGE wants you to convert to electric everything, batteries instead of gas generators, and etc.
They also raised the rates.
In Redway, my neighbors fired up their Diesel Industrial Generators, out in the Old Growth of Lower Redway, and my worries were expanded from power out to fire danger…
Since they put in sensors and switches everywhere to to prevent killing their customers, which can get expensive (see Paradise and Santa Rosa), the service has gone from usually decent to kinda unreliable, and the last 6 Saturdays, we lost service… Yesterday for less than an hour…
They are dialing in their new toys, but it’s annoying to have a $500 bill, in Summer, along with frequent interruptions in service… I got along with a Honda EU2200 and Coleman Stove/Lantern and Starlink, for years…
Thanks for the info.
Wet winter and spring grows grass and brush… then hot weather comes with no rain… results in a massive amount of tinder dry fuels out there… and it ain’t even August yet.

Hang onto your hats.
Uh,,spring had plenty of rain. What’s missing in your equation is human intervention to prevent fires from turning into raging beasts.. But, I digress. Remember to pass the Dutchie from the left hand side the nexr time….big old fatties matter nowadays. Go figure it would come down to that…….sheer stupidity and pure enjoyment. Go figure.
It looks like the Update from 6:27 pm belongs over on the Rios fire story.
You are correct. I’ve fixed it now. Sorry, trying to run two fires, listen to four scanners, plus work with other news sites to get out fire info got a bit confusing.
💚💛🧡❤️heart emojis. Sending token donation. Love you!
Dang, that’s fast! I hope everyone stays safe.
NWS says gusty west wind tonight. Not good news.
Recent (Sunday morning) report on CalFire website shows the fire still at about 2500 acres, 15% contained. Keep watching, keep in touch.
Just in case you think we’ve got it bad.
