Biden is holed up at Camp David attempting to memorize the answers to the debate questions, as we’re led to understand he won’t have the benefit of a teleprompter, note cards, or an earpiece on the debate stage, although he will be allowed coaching during first-ever debate commercial breaks, perhaps even get another blast of drugs. Just as Donna Brazil gave Hillary the debate questions in advance eight years ago, you can be certain the Dem candidate knows the questions CNN will ask of him and Trump next Thursday, and have the zinger punch line ready to make the media highlights of only Joe doesn’t screw up his line. Surprisingly the Biden campaign has leaked that the public will be surprised at the physical prowess Biden will demonstrate for its at the debate. We know Joe will be jacked up on drugs but is he planning to drop and give us 50 push ups, amaze with 20 pull ups, or simply stand on his feet without falling down for 90 minutes? It’s a make or break moment after 50 years in politics for poor old Dementia Joe, one senior moment and he’s toast, he’ll lose by a landslide, more likely get replaced at the Dem convention or resign for health reasons earlier. Jill and staff should be arrested for elder abuse, everyone around the world can see the confusion and frailty of the Alzheimer’s patient occupying the White House, he’s become the single biggest existential security threat in the history of America.

Could say the same thing about liberals. You’d think that such liberal ideals as valuing humanity would lead to respecting differing humans. But it doesn’t. You think that liberal ideals of valuing equality would lead to respecting people with sincerely held values even if they are critical of liberal ideals. But it doesn’t. You’d think a liberal would be open to at least considering different ideas with respect. But they arent. Not here.
The world is full of people trying to live up to religious ideals such as charity, generosity and caring. Imperfectly but then most religions don’t demand the perfection that non-religious liberals demand of the religious. But those people are not going to be acknowledged here. The world is also full of people who want to force conformity to what they see as their own self identified liberal values. They are exactly as dictatorial as those they complain about. Not that they see it that way. The hateful complaining about others being hateful.
Besides can it be any more self centered and blinkered than to demand that a commenter’s ideas- not just words but ideas- must please the moderator? In other words, a liberal here thinks they are noble for tolerating a commenter but are then free to belittle, insult and abuse in response. Criticize Kym at your peril. I still miss Hot Coffee because, while her comments often came from conspiracy sites that i found shockingly irrational, she was always willing to hear criticism without immediately responding with one line personal insults.
You’re painting with some pretty broad brush strokes there.
One can respect a person’s right to hold beliefs while simultaneously disagreeing with those beliefs. That’s not oppressing anyone.
It’s when people try and use their beliefs to deny equal rights and opportunities to others that those beliefs become problematic.

I took a day off today and a good part of yesterday because I couldn’t stomach this comment section and dealing with it for another second. I just wanted to spend some time with the decent folks in my family instead of reading so many cruel comments lacking in empathy for struggling people everywhere and other comments blaming me for not spending more time and doing more work.
As the cannabis industry bottomed out and ads tanked, last year I brought home about $30,000 for 50 to 70 hour weeks. I’m tired and seriously considering whether the work I put into this site is worth the shit I have to deal with from a wide variety of commenters who don’t mind bitching at me pretty much constantly while I survive on 6 hours sleep most nights.
So pardon me if I pull out a little cheese and play my tiny violin while I read your whine.
And when the comment section disappears here, congratulate yourself on forcing the host of this site to give up.

I’m pretty damn sure HC was a previously banned commenter (as are a few others here) who reincarnated herself but I couldn’t prove it so I let it go. Now we have the interesting fun of seeing if she’ll reincarnate herself again. Think how much interest that will add to your life.

Surprisingly…I think I’m entitled to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I built a comment section that I intended to use myself. I really love it when folks suggest I build a playground, maintain the playground, but don’t want me to use the playground.
You’re beyond frustrated with a lot, seems like, Ms. Kemp. I guess you could always appoint some moderators, but I doubt your comment section would be monitored the same way that you do it. If you go this route, avoid the appointment of a person like Hank did to moderate Angie’s Outhouse.
Maybe a suggestion? Shut off comments every other day or at least a couple days in a row for some time for yourself? Tru Matters was right when they said it was refreshing when there was no jail report for Wednesday.
As for cannabis… just another example of government overreach and proof positive that government at all levels need to be shrunk and their powers limited. No longer do they need to spend the rest of their lives telling us how to live ours once they are elected to an office.
The Sheriffs Dept has been delaying the posting of the jail reports to later in the morning. So that’s a little break.

I’m of Euro lineage and Christian household upbringing. But my folks knew extremists when they saw and heard them; they knew and steered clear of Christians who gravitated toward the message of Fascist Franco and Mussolini, even Hitler, all of which were of and used certain Roman Catholic factions and sometimes vice-versa. Today, leadership of some of the same factions want the current Pope gone and a return to old. At least one of those factions are involved at the very top of current rightwing politics in America. Even basic research indicates as much. Try it sometime.

I have my doubts that NASA put people on the moon. Why haven’t they gone back? They claim they’ve “lost the technology “.
