Non-Injury Vehicle vs. Deer Traffic Collision North of Fernbridge Exit on Hwy 101

A traffic collision occurred in the northbound lane of US101, just north of the Fernbridge Drive exit, at approximately 10:31 AM, involving a vehicle and a deer. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) received the initial report at 10:31 AM, and units were immediately assigned and en route by 10:33 AM. By 10:41 AM, a unit had arrived at the scene to manage the situation.

Despite the deployment of airbags in the vehicle, the collision was deemed non-injury, leading to the cancellation of incoming units and the city ambulance. Cal Fire was notified and shared relevant details regarding the situation, and there were no indications of significant traffic obstructions.
