Highway 3 Blocked After Logging Truck Rollover

Traffic CollisionNorthbound traffic on State Route 3 in Trinity County is blocked due to a single-vehicle collision that occurred around 9:48 a.m. this morning.

According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information page, a logging truck out of Red Bluff is on its side, partially in the northbound lane. The trailer of logs is reported to be “on the side of the cliff.”

CHP has listed this as a non-injury collision.

Caltrans’ QuickMap states that State Route 3 is blocked due to the accident, however, one-way-controlled traffic is in place 2.3 miles south of Peanut, to 1.8 miles south of Peanut. Delays are expected. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route if possible.
