I hope the two patients fare well.

I also hope there is not another accident caused by someone fiddling with their phone/camera while driving.

Ya. What’s with all the traffic “accidents “ here lately?
Rain or phone on the road?
I am glad most have been single car wrecks.
It hurts everyone when an innocent is hurt or killed.

As it should be, but, I was referring to the photographer of the top photo which was clearly taken from the driver’s seat.

Traffic was at a dead stop no need to clutch your pearls.

Even at a dead stop, taking pictures while in the driver seat of a running car while on the highway is illegal and dumb. This type of behavior causes secondary incidents which rank high on our roadways. The question is, how bad did you really need that pic, I know they say a pic is worth a thousand words but is it worth a thousand lives , crack me up.

Or most likely “Speeding”. Everyone thinks that there the best drivers in the world but it clearly shows the opposite and still people drive fast. It’s simple math here. “Slow The Phuck Down and Go The Speed Limit”. Just saying….

It’s a promising sign that the injured were taken to hospital by ambulance. Critical patients would probably be airlifted.

If only the Commenters would drive, don’t everyone else stay off the road? It would be a lot safer

I did drive a few hundred miles of that roadway, alot of people creeping . They should have stayed home or bought better tires. My vehicle tackle that little rain storm just fine. I think the phone is 100x a problem than a weak arse atmospheric river.

Sometimes I’m amazed at how every accident, natural disaster, political , even good natured people being great story, you somehow manage to belittle others and proclaim yourself , smarter, more informed, it doesn’t bother me, so why should it affect you. You crack me up!

Too many folks don’t take the mileage restrictions posted on the Ridge seriously. There are poorly banked treacherous curves from the weigh station south to Reeves Canyon. Adding inclement weather only enhances the danger.

And it’s obvious that many drivers don’t understand the concept of slowing down on wet roads.

Just wait till all the slow entering trucks from the new asphalt plant at the summit add to the mix. They are supposedly breaking ground for it this spring.

Well, if you’re a pretty local and wreck while wearing heels and speeding, at least the community gives you a few grand for it. If your not white, pretty and local or end up deceased then you really feel the wrath of the commenters.
