Woman Jumps Out Of Moving Vehicle in Laytonville to Flee Alleged Rapist—Law Enforcement Investigating

Police lights at night featureLaw enforcement is investigating an alleged rape that occurred in Laytonville yesterday evening after a woman reportedly jumped out of a moving vehicle to escape her attacker.

Initial reports emerged around 6:34 p.m. of a woman in need of medical aid near the intersection of Highway 101 and Davidson Lane. The woman, described as a “victim of sexual assault”, had reportedly “jumped out of a moving vehicle” landing in a roadside ditch.

Officers at the scene reported the suspect was driving a white, four-door SUV and fled the area after the woman escaped the vehicle last seen driving south on Highway 101

Medics transported the woman to Willits’s Howard Hospital where Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office detectives will meet with her.

Law enforcement has broadcasted a Be-On-The-Lookout for a vehicle matching the description of the suspect in both Ukiah and Lake County areas describing the subject as a suspect in a rape investigation.

I pray they catch the perp. My wife is a survivor of a kidnapping and rape. She is going to need special handling and support by law enforcement. None of which my wife received. Hopefully MCSO does a better job than DCSO and Humboldt did for my wife.

In the headline, Alleged, in the first sentence, Alleged. Conspiracy theories everywhere, very American.

Hopefully she will provide a description of the rapist as he may ditch the SUV.

Hugs and well wishes for the victim.
