Stolen Toys and Handgun, Along with Other Items Discovered as Law Enforcement Agencies Continue Investigating Toys for Tots Burglary

Press release from the Eureka Police Department:

body armor, gun, and scales on a tableOn December 13, 2023 an Agent from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), who has been actively involved in this investigation, authored a search warrant for several locations in response to the ongoing attempts to locate additional toys stolen from the Toys for Tots storage location. The search warrants were executed by HCDTF, assisted by Detectives and an Evidence Technician from the Eureka Police Department.

During the search of one of the locations, additional stolen toys were located and recovered. Also located was a stolen handgun, ammunition, body armor and two (2) digital scales with narcotic residue.

This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are expected to be filed once reviewed by the Humboldt County District Attorney’s office.

The Agent who authored the search warrants shared that this theft hit close to home for him. He understands how these generous donations of toys have such a positive impact on the children of our community, and is committed to recovering as many of the toys as we can while bringing those responsible to justice.

Maybe the thieves had a bad childhood and Santa only brought them new clothes, never any toys. I’m sure there must be some explanation for this crime. Or, could it be that this person (or persons) are just
despicable, brainless low-lives?

If the term “lowlife” didn’t exist, you would have to invent it for them.

What’s with the cylinder that belongs to a revolver? And those magazines look different.

Change the cylinder and you can shoot 22 long rifle or 22 magnum through the same pistol.

The guy is a 35 year old career criminal that should have been locked up under 3 strikes years ago.

You know, seeing as this is a Marine Reserve foundation, I think it’d be best to leave all the gifts in a dark corner of the warehouse and station a Marine underneath the presents with a Ka-Bar in the event that this disgusting incident happens again 😉
Small edit: I thought more about this logistically, to ensure the nutritional health of the Marine, a camel back full of monster, a log of cope and a supply of crayons would ensure his ability to sit still there for months!

For those who didn’t know, the guy was bailed out by Aladdin. (Another bail company was said to have refused.) Despite just having been released on parole, the D.A.’s Office refused to prosecute the parole violation. Having seen a parolee have his parole violated for starting a paralegal business without pre-approval from his parole officer, which our D.A.’s Office demanded almost 6 months for, I am stunned. Why did the parolee who fought so hard to rehabilitate himself get hammered and the creep in the story get off so easy? Easy. Job security. Everyone knows the creep is coming back, again and again, but the aspiring paralegal had to be derailed in the hopes of returning him to a life of crime. It’s time to recognize that our system is corrupt and capitalistic. Until we do that, we’re spinning our wheels.

He’s probably getting high and laughing at the D.A. I truly don’t understand how he could be released like this. Can someone please explain this in a factual manner? Good going Aladdin, at least the other Bail bonds man had the integrity to say no and contribute money to replace toys. You suck Aladdin.

the D.A keeps letting this alleged murderer of Casey Campbell back on the streets repeatedly since 2014… It must be his consistent singing voice that Leo’s enjoy over and over again.
