Centro Del Pueblo’s Holding Fundraiser at Eureka’s Friday Night Market to Celebrate and Support Sanctuary Gardens

On September 15th, 2023, Centro del Pueblo invites you to a special fundraising event at the Eureka Friday Night Market. With the support of Humboldt Made, we aim to raise essential funds for our Sanctuary Gardens located in Arcata, Eureka, Bayside, Loleta, and Fortuna.
This event not only marks the Second Year of our Sanctuary Gardens but also celebrates a Latin American Independence Day. We have an exciting cultural program lined up, including:
· DJ ASIS: Providing lively music throughout the evening.
· Baile Terapia Open Class @7PM: Join us on the dance floor!
The funds raised during this event will directly support our Sanctuary Garden program. Our Sanctuary Gardens play a vital role in nourishing the lives of migrants with culturally appropriate produce, restoring Native Plant environments, and sharing traditional knowledge with everyone. With your donations, we can continue to benefit families in need of natural medicine and fresh food.
Why Your Support Matters:
· Expanding Reach: Your contributions will help us complete the construction of gardens in Bayside and Loleta and extend our distribution to remote areas of Humboldt.
· Community Empowerment: Centro del Pueblo also runs programs like Sister Flower for Indigenous and Immigrant Women, Know Your Rights (including content in Spanish for Natural Disaster Prevention), La Semilla Communication (creating bilingual educational content for radio, magazines, and TV), and upcoming projects like Artistas Santuario and Youth Wellness Campaigns.
As Julia Najera, a Mixteca Woman from Oaxaca states, “The support that Centro gives us is invaluable. They are always thinking of our benefit and fighting for our rights. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they were active, advocating for our rights to healthcare and food. Also, in the 2022 earthquake, they were campaigning for our recovery. Thank you, Centro del Pueblo. While I generally agree with your answer I would modify it by exporting every white,democrat out of the US and importing all the able bodied Mexicans who are good people, hard workers, patriotic, and have loving family units. Would much rather work alongside my brothers to the south than American born, entitled, Democrat party hate filled people. Seems like a great trade. PS the feds should be investigating Centra de Pueblo for subverting American law and put their leaders and members in jail for life for fomenting an insurrection against the USA.
