Mendocino Serves Search Warrants at Nine Properties, Says MCSO
Kendall reported that nine search warrants were served. “The locations of the search warrants ranged from Redwood Valley and Willits to the Bell Springs area in Northern Mendocino County,” he said. “Working with our state and local partners we seized over 22,500 marijuana plants along with 1,656 lbs of processed marijuana. Also seized were 17 firearms.”
Law enforcement arrested one person and others were detained during the service of the warrants. “I anticipate several more charges will be filed against others following further investigation,” Kendall wrote. “Serious environmental damage including stream alterations, trash in the waterways and water diversions were documented and investigations into these matters are continuing.”
According to the Sheriff, “I continue to receive calls regarding illegal marijuana related issues in Mendocino County. Although we have been seeing a decline in illegal marijuana cultivations in many areas, it continues to be a problem.”
He added, “We are continuing to combat several issues directly linked to illegal cultivations including Violence, environmental damage and general intimidation of residents in our communities. Many folks who have come to our county to make a quick buck aren’t concerned with being good neighbors nor good stewards of our resources. Drug trafficking organizations are not good for any community.”
He went on to say, “I am currently working with state and federal partners to put more resources on the issue. I am optimistic we are making headway.”

But how are those unsolved murder cases going? #sloan
Cops don’t arrest other cops.
hey sheriff grow a pair and head to Covelo . Oh right .. you are from Covelo so you take care of “your people “ MCSD are just cowards when it comes to big grow . Go
mess with the guy with 4 hoop houses but drive pass the 60 greenhouses ..
Big words and many of us agree about those “quick buck” people…but..ummm…so when are you going to Covelo to spend a month or two “cleaning it up” like you said when you first came into office?
So do they just leave all the hoops and plastic? Who cleans up the mess?
Whoever winds up with the property. If it ever does.
Crickets
In the picture it looks like they cut the greenhouse plastic into pieces and they are driving a tractor through the greenhouse. This would make lots of micro trash which will be impossible to clean up.
That is a recipe for depositing trash into a waterway
That’s their general practice, they make an absolute mess and often leave places in a state where the plastic micro trash can never be fully removed
Yes, yes hoops and plastic everywhere. I find it really interesting that everybody wants to grow in these hoop houses covered with plastic in 100 plus degree weather what the hell is wrong with people? NEXT glaring issue… you think you’re hiding something with a hoopie that’s some pretty sharp thinking there! 100 degree plus hoopie temp= mites, powder mold, etc. The plastic blowing in the wind in tatters. 1000s of abandoned hoopies in Covelo alone. it is REALLY BAD ON THE REZ every parcel virtually…look on GM. The waterpipes they use drilled full of holes and unable to be reclaimed. Limits on waterline pipe at hardware stores 10 only etc due to this. Busted on Fish n Game violations but more violations are made during the raid never to be resolved. Abandoned trashholes everywhere.
Never understood it either, but it’s the same thing all along 199 in Josephine County from the border to Grants Pass.
Last year wasn’t bad but the year before you couldn’t get a stick of pipe.
That needed to be busted.
Ooo I think the price just went up a penny 🤣
“I am optimistic we are making headway.”
lol, no you are not making any headway. Never have and never will. We, however, have made a lot of headway. Continually annihilating corporate weed! As one buy one has to swallow up losses merging and litteraly running from the California legal weed industry lickin their wounds. Buh bye!
Colorado ✔
Illinois ✔
Michigan ✔
Massachusetts ✔
New York ✔
New Jersey ✔
We coming Florida, lol
It’s our plant and no where does anyone grow better weed than the Emerald Triangle.
Dude you must never go anywhere because everyone knows better weed is grown in lots of places now. This isn’t 1988.
Like where? Buyers are always in California. Anywhere else has to ship out of state
Anywhere on the same latitude grows exceptionally high quality. That’s the way it works same type of climate on what ever latitude it is
So true 😂
All those states indoor product heavy. Not the best stuff. I have had the pleasure and disappointment of visiting dispensaries in several of these states. You forgot Nevada. Honestly, anything I bought didnt hold a shine to fine Cali sun grown.
Keep spreading the word!
New Jersey grows awesome weed!!! (Lol- totally kidding ha ha ha!)
Lol! Okay…um I ultimately threw away what was purchased. Burned terribly. Like it had some weird oil added to it. Opened it up looked like hell. Just went without until I got back out west. Not worth it.
I read an article in SF Gate about a pathogen that is spreading to all the big hoop grows in Southern California, killing off millions of cannabis plants and SPREADING. Could be good for prices here????
That’s the path(ogen) I have hoped BIG industry cannabis would need to take!
That issue has been around for a really long time. It started with the red russet mites. Interesting food for thought everyone flocking to the local grow stores. Dobut the grow stores disinfect and sterilize the floors. Could be as simple as boot rinse trays before you enter. Working at different firms dragging their feet through the dirt spreading pathogens. Driving tractors and trucks that don’t get cleaned off in between fields.
I agree with every single comment written below especially the fact that who cleans up the bigger mess that the authorities leave and the money goes in their pockets
Great work. Book em Danno…
So can the cops get fined by Fish & Game for littering and contamination for this type of eradication? Sending the wrong message with this sloppy effort!
Do as I say not as I do says MCSO!
