Fundraiser to Support St. Vincent de Paul’s Free Dining Facility This Thursday

[St. Vincent de Paul is having an event] Thursday 6/1 called empty bowls. We partnered with the Jefferson community project. It is an all you can eat soup, salad, and bread. The soup will be provided by over 20 restaurants. The restaurants participating are Humboldt bay bistro, Brett’s pizzeria, restaurant Diver bar and grill, Bayfront restaurant, Nou Nou’s food truck, the Curry leaf, the Green Lili, Vista del Mar, restaurant 511, Mazottis, the Plaza grill, Jack’s seafood, Blue lake casino, Manzanilla Kitchen, Humboldt soup company, Ramones, Opera alley bistro, the Eagle house, and Caps food truck.
There will also be handmade bowls donated from local potters and nationwide that will be for sale. Cal Poly Humboldt and CR were involved as well…In total, we have around 130 bowls for sale.

Someone needed to proofread the poster before it was circulated: “$45 family’s” should be “families.” Too many people seem to write with random apostrophes these days…
