Firefighters caught the Hair Fire, located near Hayfork’s Hair Lane in Trinity County, before it could spread too much from the original 40’x 40′ spot that they found when they arrived on scene. It is now contained and smoke is dissipating on the ALERTCalifornia Hayfork Divide 2 camera.

Cal Fire, who hadn’t yet arrived by the time the fire was contained, was requested to continue to the scene to investigate the cause.  There have been lightning strikes in Trinity County today but it is unknown if this is related.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

Oh good, at first I thought somebody’s hair caught on fire.
I have run across a few politicians that had their pants on fire.

Oh no…

The dreaded Hair Fire…

Sounds like a brush with disaster…

Time to comb the area for the origin…

Good to see fires are getting put out and not just dogs getting shot.
