Heart of the Redwoods’ First Annual Spring Garden Tour Visits Six Magnificent Gardens on Memorial Day Weekend

Heart of the Redwoods Community Hospice invites you to its first annual Spring Garden Tour, May 28 – 11:30 – 3:30, the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. You will visit 6 magnificent Whitethorn Valley gardens at the peak of their spring bloom. Ranging from native plants to re-inhabited and restored land, these gardens will delight your senses and inspire your own gardening efforts. At each garden you will get a chance to stroll through the gardens, meet the gardeners, have a little snack and a refreshing beverage and an opportunity to purchase a garden themed raffle ticket.  

Participants will meet at Whitethorn Construction at 11:30 to receive maps and garden descriptions. We are encouraging carpooling, but if you do not have a full car we can pair you up with some friends. The gardens are all within 2 miles of Whitethorn Construction.  

At the end of the tour you can return to Whitethorn Construction and participate in the Whitethorn Wine Tasting event, and tour the local Hardwood Furniture gallery. The garden themed raffle winners will be chosen at that time. Some tasty gourmet small plates, Joe’s pizza, and desserts will be available to purchase at the wine tasting. We are looking forward to spending a day with you experiencing the best of what the Whitethorn Valley has to offer.   

The $50 donation includes admittance to the Whitethorn Winery’s Wine Tasting (a $10 value). There are a limited number of tickets, so do not hesitate.
