A Sprinkle of Snow on Mountain Passes This Morning

According to the National Weather Service in Eureka, “Light snow showers are expected across northwest CA this morning. A few inches of snow are possible in the heavier showers this morning. Humboldt and Del Norte counties are expected to see the most showers.”

    • Hwy 96: Open with several one-way traffic operation.
    • Hwy 101: Open

    • HWY 162 (Covelo Road): Open
    • Hwy 169 (Klamath): Open
    • Hwy 199: Open but snowy.

    • Hwy 254 (Avenue of the Giants): Open but one-way Traffic Control due to roadway slip out from 1 Mile North of Redwood Lane in Miranda to 1/2 Mile South of Cathey Road in Humboldt Redwoods State Park.
    • Hwy 255: Open
    • Hwy 271: Open
    • Hwy 299: Open but snowy.

Humboldt County Roads (Information current as of late Thursday afternoon): 

    • Coffee Creek closed due to flooding from mile post 1.00 to 1.25.
    • Jack Shaw Road at the bridge due to slide post mile 1.00 to 1.38
    • Mattole Road
    • McCann Bridge
    • Snow Camp Rd Closed due to snow.

Trinity County Roads: No information at this time.

Mendocino County Roads: No information at this time.
