Vehicle on Fire Impacting Traffic on Northbound Hwy 101 Near Fernbridge

Just before 10:30 p.m., a vehicle in the slow lane caught fire on northbound Hwy 101 just south of the Singley Road exit near Fernbridge.

According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, when emergency personnel arrived, flames engulfed the vehicle.

Smoke spreading from the burning vehicle is impacting all northbound traffic.

The CHP page reports that Caltrans is on the way to the scene to close the number 2 lane.
