Two Vehicle Crash on Northbound Hwy 101 North of Rio Dell
At about quarter to seven, two vehicles crashed on northbound Hwy 101 north of Rio Dell by the southern entrance to Metropolitan Road.
According to Caltrans QuickMap, northbound traffic is moving slowly after the green bridge.
An ambulance took one woman at least to the hospital.

That area of the freeway right at the end of the bridge has had a heck of a drop to it ever since the earthquakes…
I wonder if the flooding has made it worse…
And before you go over the bridge! Especially if your in the right lane its a hell of a bump!
Nearly every bridge in the area sustained damage from the earthquake in December. The southern side of each bridge abutment all seemed to have dropped several inches; the Fortuna bridge at Main Street had a helluva bump and it was only recently that CalTrans laid a strip of asphalt to mitigate it. The bridge at Tompkins Hill near CR still has quite the bump.
I hope the lady involved here has a speedy recovery.
Your gas tax at work, they put up a “Bump Ahead” sign instead of a couple hours work and a load of asphalt.
