CDPH Updates COVID-19 Guidance and Reminds Californians Vaccines, Testing and Treatment Remain Available

Press release from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH):COVID-19 feature

Today the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is announcing updates to several state public health officer orders that have guided Californians on how to best protect themselves and their families throughout the pandemic. The updates to the orders related to vaccination, masking, isolation, and quarantine will take effect in the coming days and weeks. Earlier today, Oregon and Washington made similar announcements related to masking.

CDPH reminds Californians that critical tools to fight COVID-19 remain available to everyone at low or no cost. This includes access to COVID-19 vaccines, testing, and treatment.

“We stand before Californians today with a humble message of thanks for taking the hard steps to help manage COVID-19, and with an ongoing commitment to be prepared for what comes next,” said CDPH Director and State Public Health Officer Dr. Tomás Aragón. “Our communities did a lot of the hard work by getting vaccinated and boosted, staying home and testing when sick, requesting treatments when positive, and masking to slow the spread. With these critical actions, and a lot of patience and persistence, we have now reached a point where we can update some of the COVID-19 guidance to continue to balance prevention and adapting to living with COVID-19.”

CHANGES: CDPH is making the following changes to existing COVID-19 guidance.

  • Masking in High-risk and Health Care Settings

Beginning April 3, masks will no longer be required in indoor high-risk and health care settings. This includes health care, long-term care, and correctional facilities as well as homeless, emergency, and warming and cooling centers. This change takes effect on Monday, April 3 to allow local health departments and individual health care facilities to develop and implement plans customized to their needs and local conditions to continue to protect Californians through the end of the winter virus season. CDPH’s recommendations for the use of face masks for individuals remain unchanged. See masking guidance.

  • Vaccine Requirements for Health Care Workers

Beginning April 3, with federal rules continuing to ensure that most health care workers remain vaccinated for COVID-19, the state will no longer require vaccination for health care workers including those in adult care, direct care, correctional facilities, and detention centers. This change takes effect on Monday, April 3 to allow local health departments and facilities to develop and implement plans customized to their needs and local conditions to continue to protect Californians through the end of the winter virus season.

  • Reduced Isolation Time After Positive COVID-19 Test

Beginning March 13, a COVID-19 positive person may end isolation after five days if they feel well, have improving symptoms, and are fever-free for 24 hours, with less emphasis on testing negative. This change aligns with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations and takes effect on Monday, March 13.

  • Disease Control and Prevention Order
The state public health officer order formerly known as Beyond the Blueprint is being updated to align with CDPH’s isolation and quarantine recommendations above and includes an updated definition for a confirmed COVID-19 case. The updated order, which will take effect March 13, provides prevention and mitigation strategies for slowing the spread of COVID-19 in homes, workplaces, and communities.
  • Hospital Surge Order

On April 3, CDPH will rescind an order that required hospitals statewide to accept transfer patients from facilities with limited ICU capacity as needed.  ICU capacity has not been limited during recent COVID-19 surges after the broad use of vaccines and treatments.

  • Vaccine Data Collection

Also being rescinded on April 3 is an order that required providers to ask patients for their email addresses and/or mobile phone numbers when receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. New legislation requires that California healthcare providers who administer vaccines to enter information about patients, including telephone numbers and race and ethnicity.

RESOURCES REMAIN AVAILABLE: Access to Vaccines, Testing and Treatment

  • COVID-19 vaccines, testing, and treatment continue to be available through providers and some pharmacies and at some sites within local communities. Visit MyTurn to find services in your area.
  • Treatment is available through providers and some pharmacies. Individuals who are uninsured or can’t get timely treatment can call 833-686-5051 or visit sesamecare.com/covidca.

WINDING DOWN UNDERUTILIZED SUPPORTS

In recent weeks, California has begun to wind down some underutilized emergency COVID-19 supports across California. This includes state-funded testing and test-to-treat sites, vaccine staff, outbreak response teams, mobile vaccine units, and pop-up vaccination events.

Some other impacts to public health programs and initiatives include:

  • Reduced state support for local contact tracing efforts.
  • Fewer staffing flexibilities for hospitals and nursing homes.
  • End of reduced training and certification requirements for certified nursing assistants and home health aides.
  • Ending the expedited license processing for facilities performing COVID-19 tests.

WORK AHEAD

The state worked with the California Legislature to extend two authorities, including allowing nurses to continue to dispense COVID-19 therapeutics as part of a state-run test-to-treat program and clarifying who can process COVID-19 laboratory tests. Legislation was signed yesterday.

The SMARTER Plan will maintain California’s operational preparedness to address the next phase of the COVID-19 pandemic and will ensure the state keeps equity in mind as we support communities across the state.

UNPRECEDENTED PUBLIC HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE

CDPH is able to announce these updates today due to the significant investments California has made in public health infrastructure to respond to COVID-19. CDPH continues to monitor the science and current recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to inform and update guidance.

Throughout the pandemic, California has led the nation in its COVID-19 response effort in collaboration with community-based organizations and local government agencies to address statewide health disparities and built an unprecedented public health infrastructure.

Over the course of the pandemic, California:

  • Saved countless lives, prevented infection and severe illness, and continues to have one of the lowest COVID-19 death rates in the nation.
  • Led the nation in keeping students and staff safe in classrooms.
  • Administered 88 million vaccinations, with nearly 73 percent of the state’s population receiving the primary vaccine series.
  • Processed more than 186 million tests and launched a state laboratory to help meet California’s goal of expanding equitable and affordable access to COVID-19 testing.
  • Helped administer more than 1,748,251 COVID-19 treatment courses.
  • Distributed more than 1 billion pieces of personal protective equipment, including masks.

In addition to investments in vaccines, testing and treatment, the state:

  • Expanded and improved telehealth resources.
  • Modernized data collection tools.
  • Improved disease monitoring and modeling.
  • Developed and utilized wastewater surveillance.
  • Developed a statewide contact tracing program and information system.
  • Launched many new tools for the public, including covid19.ca.gov, MyTurnCANotify, and MyVaccineRecord.
  • Created multiple COVID-19 outreach and awareness campaigns, including Vaccinate All 58Mothers, and Test It Treat It You Can Beat It, with a focus on reducing social and health inequities that became magnified during the pandemic.
  • Developed the SMARTER plan to continue to refine our ongoing pandemic and COVID-19 disease response.
  • Developed and improved academic collaboration to inform public health response.

It’s a wrap, government intrusion in our lives blaming covid comes to an end, hope their surveillance practices wind down too,and now they’ll need to identify the next “emergency”. Pretty much everything Fauci pushed has proven ineffective when subjected to detailed scientific analysis

All over the news today, in fact all week, the government agencies are now admitting that masks and the so-called vaccine is pretty much ineffective; that natural immunity is the way to go. California health people need to give it a rest and quit pushing masks and vaccines and putting out a count of so-called covid cases.

It’s actually not just his opinion. Here’s one of the most recent studies done on masks, although studies on masks go back to the mid 80s and all have pretty much the same conclusion.

And while the vaccine is effective at stopping severe infection and hospitalization it also comes with a wide range of adverse reactions, which affect 1/ 800 people who take it. And while death and hospitalization was very high for the elderly and people with comobilities, it was substantially lower for healthy individuals under the age of 60. Whom despite not being in a high risk group for hospitalization and death will still suffer the negative effects of the vaccine at the same rate. But the main point is both the pharmaceutical companies and the government were well aware of the negative side effects of this vaccine because it was all discovered in the animal trials before it was even administered to people, yet they lied to us about it..

There are now thousands of bureaucrats and private leech companies who rely on a paycheck from this charade that it will keep going forever. And the democrats keep complaining about no funding for mental health, the poor, or the homeless. More proof they are con artists snd scammers who could careless about the poor, vets, the elderly, or the black community. Otherwise they would open up and build mental hospitals for involuntary commitment, they would superfund business’ to open up in and hire within minority communities, and they would drop the state gas tax to help the poor who also drive. But nope, to simple, cannot do that. Gotta get those Benjamin’s to the statists to help pay for their next ayahuasca tourist trip and/or Tesla/Prius

Oh please, you’ve show yer hand too many times to have anyone swallow this post for for than what it really is, which is “Democrats … they are … con artists … scammers”. Most of the rest of what you say requires … Benjamines, billions of them. But, but, but don’t tax us a penny more, just cut, cut, cut is the usual rightwing cry. Superfund businesses to open and hire within minority communities? Awesome. Vote in all Dem’s and open yer pockets, wider, cuz Freedom-Caucus controlled GOP ain’t gonna lift a finger; the rightwing just ain’t gonna “Superfund” minorities to open minority-owned businesses. If they did, the fiscal Conservatives and racist-winglet of the Grand Old Party would say “damn tax-and-spend government” alongside “close the borders, tighter”.

Remember when Trump tried to close our border to Travelers from China and was called a xenophobe and a racist? Exactly what could have Trump done to stop those unnecessary deaths? Masks have been proven to be ineffective, the lockdowns have been proven to kill more people than it saved and people are going to make up their own mind whether or not to take the vaccine. There is virtually no difference between deaths and sickness When comparing different approaches such as California versus Florida/texes.
In fact California had more cases and more deaths, we only had a lower death rate percentage because we tested more people and found more positive cases because of it.

Remember this little blurb?

“If the public health professionals, if Dr. Fauci, if the doctors tell us we should take it, I’ll be the first in line to take it, absolutely,” Harris said. “But if Donald Trump tells us we should take it, I’m not taking it,” she said.

Then after she gets elected, the shots are completely fine?

Who started operation: warp speed, Kamala? Trump DID tell you and others to get the shot. So, you did take it on his advice. Why? Hmm… 🤔

I think lots of folks want mental institutions opened and for the mentally ill to receive the care they need. I don’t think the state wants to assume liability for those patients. I also worry about the slippery slope of who gets to decide who is committed against their will. That power could definitely be abused by the state (political adversaries, etc.).

It was actually Medicaid started in 1965 that started the Defunding of mental institutions, Medicaid often would not pay for inpatient services and when only cover outpatient services, because of this many mental institutions lost crucial Government funding, became grossly overcrowded and mismanaged. Couple that with gross abuse suffered by tens of thousands of patients such as sterilization, lobotomies, over medication, isolation and the protests that came with it.

CDPH needs to be prosecuted for pushing medicine that is neither safe for patients nor a vaccine for COVID-19.

Protection From New COVID-19 Vaccines Drops Sharply Within Months: CDCThe new COVID-19 vaccines provide a boost to protection against hospitalization, although that shielding wanes within months, according to unpublished data presented on Feb. 24.
A bivalent Pfizer or Moderna booster increased protection against hospitalization initially by 52 percent, but that protection dropped to 36 percent beyond 59 days, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) researchers said.
The researchers separately looked at the protection of people who had received two or more monovalent doses, or doses of the original vaccines, and no bivalent booster. They found that people ages 18 to 64 had just 19 percent protection against COVID-19-associated hospitalization and that those 65 and older had just 28 percent protection.

————-
In short, why would you take the risk of a severe adverse reaction or death to avoid a hospital visit. Please read the VAERS from the CDC. DON’T BE IGNORANT

In an interview with Fox News’s Bret Baier last Tuesday, FBI Director Chris Wray said, “The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan.” Like so much else in America’s tortured, distractible life these days, the meaning larded into that utterance went clear over the collective heads of just about everybody.

What was the key part of that statement? “For quite some time now….” Gee, really? Like, how long? One year? More than that? Maybe since March 2020? And you didn’t say anything, Mr. FBI Director? You didn’t do a thing to dispel the Covid-19 miasma of confusion that swaddled Washington DC like a smallpox blanket of yore? The question of where the novel coronavirus came from has been a ferocious national controversy since late 2019, you understand. Several government agencies, including the CIA and all the offices under the gigantic National Institutes of Health (NIH) – including the NIAID run for decades by Dr. Anthony Fauci — plus the FDA and CDC, tucked into the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)… all of these outfits have pretended to not know the true origin of Covid-19 for over three years. And the FBI Director, who could have shed some authoritative light on the matter by stepping up to a podium and weighing in, just let all that chaos roll?

And by-the-by, let’s not forget that the whole time Chris Wray knew with moderate certainty that Covid-19 came from the Wuhan virology lab, he was in charge of a battalion of FBI agents assigned to managing Twitter, Facebook, and Google — that is, the apps that comprise the digital Public Square — to make sure that anyone who opined about Covid coming from the Wuhan lab got censored, banished, cancelled, reputationally destroyed.

So, why did Mr. Wray make this statement on Tuesday… “The FBI has for quite some time now assessed…” Probably we’re hearing the old Modified Limited Hangout strategy, a venerable ruse, which is when a criminally culpable government throws the public a bone of admission about something that is common knowledge anyway — the thing everybody knows — while pretending that they were in on the common knowledge all along — which just adds another layer of perfidy to the giant matrix of lies laid down by US agency officials in this disgraceful episode of US
history.

What Mr. Wray left out of his statement this week is any hint that a gang of US scientists and doctors under Dr. Fauci were directly and intimately involved in the activities at Wuhan that produced the virus that killed millions around the world, and led to the warp speed production of a “vaccine” mere weeks after the organism appeared — which will probably end up killing and maiming more people than the disease itself.     It happened also this past week that a team of distinguished medical warriors including Drs. Martin Makary of Johns Hopkins, Martin Kulldorff of Harvard, and Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford testified before the opening session of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. Dr. Makary began his remarks stating boldly: “The greatest perpetrator of misinformation during the pandemic has been the United States government….”
…. Misinformation that…

  • Covid was spread through surface transmission
  • That vaccinated immunity was far greater than natural immunity
  • That masks were effective. Now we have the definitive Cochrane review. What do you do with that review? Cochrane is the most authoritative evidence body in all of medicine and has been for decades. Do you just ignore it and not talk about it?
  • That myocarditis was more common after the infection than after the vaccine. Not true, it is 4-28 times more common after the vaccine.
  • That young people benefit from a booster, misinformation. Our two top experts on vaccines quit the FDA in protest over this particular issue, pushing boosters in young, healthy people. The data was never there. That’s why the CDC never disclosed hospitalization rates among boosted Americans under the age of 50.
  • That vaccine mandates would increase vaccination rates. A George Mason University study shows that it didn’t. It did one thing, it created “Never-Vaxxers” who are now not getting the childhood vaccines they need to get.

“Over and over again, we’ve seen something that goes far beyond using your best judgment with the information at hand. We’ve seen something that is unforgivable, and that is the weaponization of medical research itself. The CDC putting out their own shoddy studies, like their own study on natural immunity looking at one state for two months, when they had data for years on all 50 states. Why did they only report that one sliver of data? Why did the salami slice the entire database? Because it gave them the result they wanted.

Got proof the spike protein disappears from the blood in three weeks. mRNA is the delivery device by the way, it isn’t the spike protein. Fact, it does not, as it coagulates in the vital organs. Ask the epidemiologists from Stanford snd MIT, the best in the entire world. They were scorned and disparaged because they told the truth but now are looked at as being right. Fact is, people who took the shot cannot admit they blew it, it’s human nature. I would suggest researching how to get that garbage out of your body. Or just do nothing and see what happens down the road. That is the beauty of our country, I am free to say no to political science fueled voodoo and you cannot do a dam thing about it so complain away. No more masks, no more bs, my body is not the democrats to experiment on. We won. Freedom isn’t free is it as it takes critical thinkers to push back against the lemming herd.

Sure seem to me like a lot of people were forced to take a vaccine they didn’t want. If it wasn’t for public push back there’s a good chance that you wouldn’t be able to go to the grocery store, travel or anything else in a public setting without proof of the vaccination. How many tens of thousands of people were forced into taken it in fear of losing their job which are now winning lawsuits left and right around the world. Sure nobody put a gun to their head and threaten them, they just threatened them with losing their livelihood and ability to work and provide for themselves and their family.. I would certainly agree there’s no winners in the situation, what troubles me the most is the fact that the government straight up lied to us for years.. There’s no refuting that. And it certainly isn’t anything new.

Unfortunately it seems like few people are willing to learn from evidence that doesn’t fit their preconceived notions.

And even more unfortunately, this seems to include public health professionals and agencies who seem to interpret the evidence that the most extreme measures taken (granting them the most authority) didn’t work as evidence that they simply weren’t given enough authority to impose those measures on the population.

Yes, we won! We won the argument. Those of us who pointed out the OBVIOUS dangers of mRNA “vaccines”, the ineffectiveness of masks, the devastaion and uselessness of lockdowns, the even more OBVIOUS origins of the virus, were right. And YOU were wrong.
You arrogantly chastised people and removed links to information that could have potentially saved lives. You dismissed the “vaccine’s” role in the death of a 16 year old boy in Santa Rosa, dead within 2 days of the “vaccine”, with ZERO offer of another logical explanation. You claimed that the “vaccine” was safe for pregnant women and you perpetually put out bullshit press releases with no regard for the mounting evidence contradicting your “trusted sources”. And now, you have the audacity to cavalierly claim the mRNA is out of your system within 3 weeks while ignoring allLives statement of FACT that the dangerous spike protein remains. No one on the left has conceded a thing or apologized for anything. It’s astonishing how many keep advocating the same shit. It’s fuckin disgusting.

https://thehill.com/opinion/judiciary/3883931-twitter-discloses-another-possible-government-censorship-effort/

An old saying, attributed to Henry David Thoreau, maintains that you do not have to find a trout in your glass to know someone is watering down the milk. This week Americans found a veritable school of trout in their milk — an unintentional demonstration by the Biden administration of why such a gathering of fish is often called a “lie.”

In the 17th release of the “Twitter Files,” journalist Matt Taibbi disclosed that the U.S. government is funding a group that has supported the censorship of dissenting viewpoints on social media, including those of U.S. citizens.

That may sound familiar. Just a few weeks ago, I wrote here that the congressionally created, federally funded National Endowment for Democracy (NED) had supported the British-based Global Disinformation Index (GDI). The index was widely ridiculed for targeting ten conservative and libertarian sites as the most dangerous sources of disinformation; it sought to persuade advertisers to withdraw support for those sites, while listing their most liberal counterparts as among the most trustworthy.

At the time, I noted that the Biden administration had played us for chumps. As we celebrated the demise of the infamous Disinformation Governing Board with its “Disinformation Nanny,” the Biden administration never disclosed a larger censorship program.

Shortly after my column posted in The Hill, the NED wrote to me to say that it was discontinuing support for the GDI. Microsoft also was forced into retreat after it was shown to be pushing the GDI’s biased blacklist.

Again, many celebrated a victory for free speech.

Yet, here we are again staring down at a trout in our milk. This week, Taibbi reported that the State Department’s Global Engagement Center (GEC) may have supported a different disinformation blacklisting operation.

Twitter’s Patrick Conlon reportedly mocked the list by referring to network anchor Anderson Cooper, joking: “Not exactly Anderson’s besties, but CNN assets if you will.” Yoel Roth, then Twitter’s head of trust and safety, responded “omg” and “what a total crock.”

Been busy with snow preps & repairs… 🙂
And 8 days with no PG&E!
1600 ft lots of broken branches , limbs hit the gate blocking the truck behind it…etc.
No worries we’re blessed!

We were so hopeful, as to the Twitter Files. Rather underwhelming so far. And to think, how the Hill opinion-piece mentions the Pentagon Papers … as if twit files are remotely close to that. But there’s still hope! For a bombshell, an October Surprise maybe. Long ways away, election October’s. Till then, drip, drip, drip, snore, snore, snore.

John Kennedy:

“Americans do not deserve to be governed by deeply weird, nauseously woke people who hate George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Dr. Seuss, and Mr. Potatohead.”

from Senator Kennedy’s speech at CPAC

Pretty funny, like him or not he has a great sense of humor.

Better was a next guy, what do they call that, oh right — “grievance comedy”. Anyway, he was great here in his 2nd term. And comedy clubs all over the country will be calling, employment for years to come.
