1 Death, 9 New Hospitalizations, 187 New Cases

COVID DEATHPress release from Humboldt County Public Health:

Humboldt County Public Health reported today the death of a resident in their 70s. There were nine new hospitalizations including a resident under nine, one in their 40s, one in their 50s, two in their 70s and four aged 80 and older.

An additional 98 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 were announced as well as 89 new probable cases for the period between Tuesday, Nov. 29 and Tuesday, Dec. 6. The total number of confirmed cases in the county stands at 22,733. An additional 5,582 cases are reported as probable.*

Local COVID-19 vaccination data has been updated for this week:

  • Since the last weekly report on Nov. 30, an additional 43 residents completed their vaccine series.
  • A total of 91,947 individuals, or approximately 68% of the county’s total population, have been fully vaccinated as of Tuesday.

OptumServe continues to offer rapid antigen testing and PCR testing services at the Wharfinger Building in Eureka five days a week. Walk-ins will receive only rapid antigen testing unless the attendee specifically states they require a PCR test. Appointments for antigen testing can be made by calling 888-634-1123. Wharfinger testing runs Sunday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is closed from 11 a.m. to noon and 4 to 5 p.m.

Additionally, flu testing is now available at the OptumServe COVID-19 sites at the Wharfinger, as well as McKinleyville, Trinidad and Arcata. For a list of OptumServe COVID-19 and flu testing locations and schedules, visit humboldtgov.org/testregistration.

Public Health is reminding residents that one of the best ways to ensure a safe and healthy holiday season is to get a bivalent booster. The new bivalents reduce the likelihood of becoming infected with the Omicron variants and also reduce the chances of hospitalization and death should one become infected. Because boosters can take up to two weeks after vaccination for full protection, residents planning to attend holiday get-togethers should get a booster now.

See the schedule below for specific Public Health vaccination and testing clinic dates, times, locations and available services. Bivalent boosters will be provided at all.

Fortuna — Thursday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Fortuna Veterans Hall (1426 Main St.)

Eureka — Friday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* “Confirmed cases” represent the total confirmed positive PCR test results or detection of SARS-CoV-2 by genomic sequencing, and “probable cases” are individuals who:

  • Have a positive antigen (Ag) test for COVID-19, or
  • Were diagnosed with COVID-19 disease by a health care provider, or
  • Have symptoms of COVID-19 disease after being in close contact with a person having a PCR-confirmed test result, or
  • Were a decedent whose death certificate lists COVID-19 as a cause or significant contributing factor of their death, in the absence of a positive PCR test result.

The US government’s top medical adviser, Dr Anthony Fauci, has joined a growing body of experts who say hospitalisation figures form a better guide to the severity of the Omicron coronavirus variant than the traditional case-count of new infections…….

I guess we will never know, but what are the odds? 🤷‍♂️

Elon Musk recently promoted a Twitter thread by journalist Matt Taibbi, which detailed internal company documents showing that the social media site blocked tweets publicizing a news story on Hunter Biden’s laptop. Here’s what The Onion discovered about Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files.

https://www.theonion.com/everything-we-know-about-elon-musk-s-twitter-files-1849861527/slides/6

A few samples..
“Just because correspondence is “confidential” doesn’t mean there’s anything interesting about it”

“It’s odd that Musk and Matt Taibbi chose to focus on some racy photos of Hunter rather than all the evidence of the Bidens’ corruption involving Burisma, but maybe that’s what the next thread will be about”

“Though Musk, in a tweet, claimed Taibbi’s report showed “government involvement in censoring people on Twitter,” that was not the case. No one in the government had pushed Twitter to shut down the laptop story. The Biden campaign—which was not a government entity—did ask Twitter to block the sharing of dick pics from the laptop, a request in line with Twitter’s rules and reportedly honored. According to Taibbi’s thread, in 2020 the Trump White House also asked Twitter to repress material, and the company assented. Hardly evidence that Twitter was covertly plotting with the Biden camp to crush Trump.

Musk demonstrated tremendous ignorance and bad faith. In response to a Taibbi tweet citing a Twitter document saying that requests from the “Biden team” were “handled,” Musk tweeted, “If this isn’t a violation of the Constitution’s First Amendment, what is?” As conservative (non-Trumper) writer David French pointed out, “Biden was not president in 2020, and therefore there was no government involvement in his campaign’s requests. The First Amendment is not implicated when only private actors are involved.” Kevin Fox, a tech developer, put it this way: “A political campaign sends Twitter a list of tweets that refer to the campaign and violate Twitter’s terms of service and Twitter takes them down. This is what Elon Musk says tonight is a ‘blatant violation of the 1st Amendment’, as he willfully misrepresents the facts.”

“ BALTIMORE, MD — This week, a new study from Johns-Hopkins University has concluded masks are over 75% effective at helping small children stay protected from oxygen.

“After measuring the blood-oxygen levels of children before and after they wore masks while sprinting around the park, we discovered that the kids running around with masks stayed 75% safe from breathing in oxygen molecules,” said Dr. Kron Neblork in the abstract for the study that was circulated through several leading medical journals. “This is a good thing, as we have also found connections between people who breathe oxygen and people who die. Also Dr. Fauci, blessings be upon his holy name, told us so.”

That is an untrue statement it’s from Dec
2, and current to what appears to be 11/26 at least.

The fact of the matter is that everything you have shown is on a grey area for the last week.

That means it is tentative, and subject to change without notice.

Nothing solid about it…

Well, Brittney Griner is coming home after a brief 9 month tour of Russia:

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/ap-griner-for-bout-wnba-star-freed-in-us-russia-prisoner-swap/amp/

Only Democrats would swap a Russian Arms Dealer named “The Merchant of Death” for a tatted up basketball player that smokes dope and kneels when our flag and national anthem are played.

Meanwhile, a Real American (and British and Irish citizen) former Marine Paul Whelan has been held on false charges since 2018. Paul Whelan went into harms way twice in his 14 year stint in the Marine Corps.

At least Trevor Reed was freed in August. Negotiating to free Paul Whelan should have been their only focus.

No doubt in my mind that this negotiation began prior to the mid terms and was a publicity stunt that the Democrats hoped to secure in time for an impact on the elections.

America-hating Brittney Griner should have been left to toil in a Russian Gulag for years.

President Biden and Democrats in Congress charged the American people $6 trillion for their wasteful spending policies.

What did American families get in return?

❌Crippling inflation
❌Higher taxes
❌More government

@HouseGOP will end wasteful spending & rebuild our economy!
@RepFeenstra
Too little too late, Bidenflation and its skyhigh interest rates are crippling our economy and will bust the budget. Are we supposed to just print $1T to pay interest on $31T debt?

Biden swaps drug smuggling basketball player for international arms dealer “Merchant of Death” responsible for hundreds of thousands dead.
Expert negotiation or Biden’s identity politics again? What about convicted American drug smugglers in other overseas prisons? Reminiscent of Obama’s Bergdahl swap.

The saddest part is that the weak Biden administration left behind Paul Whelan, a US marine who was captured in 2018, and has been experiencing health problems recently.

What happened to retrieving prisoners in the order they were captured?

I guess the lesson here is that if you kneel for the US National Anthem, you go to the front of the line!

Biden figures that, politically, he will garner more votes by repatriating only Griner, an African American Basketball star, than by also repatriating Whelan, a Marine Veteran.

Let’s hope it backfires on Biden.

And as far as “The Merchant of Death”, the Russian arms dealer that Biden swapped a basketball star for?

That comes at an opportune time…

I heard that Putin was running out of ammo.

Way to go Brandon, you dumbass.

Masterfully done, Joke Biden.

Thanks to you, the arms are gonna start flying again…

The U.S. is the top arms dealer in the world, followed by Russia, France and the United Kingdom, with the U.S. responsible for 39 percent of arms exports globally, according to the Stockholm International Peace Institute..
Wonder how much of that ends up on the black market……
I don’t think that arms dealer has a secrete garage full of missiles and ammo to supply Russia with,, Russia has their own contacts..

There is a time in history when the CIA used an arms dealer to supply weapons to Iraq. And the US is known for supplying arms to rebels trying to overthrow fairly elected governments..

What’s up with all these pedophiles getting a slap on the wrist? Are they trying to normalize pedophilia?

It’s always been my determination that the University vaccine mandates were a very, very , bad idea…

Gandhi, among others, agree…

https://commonwealthmagazine.org/health-care/study-says-covid-vaccine-mandates-for-university-students-likely-causing-net-harm/

“A paper published yesterday takes that point further, arguing that vaccine booster mandates for young people at colleges and universities are “likely to cause net expected harms to young healthy adults” and should be lifted. Researchers at the University of Oxford, as well as at other universities in the UK and North America, tapped available data sources on vaccinations and adverse events to evaluate the ethics of vaccine booster mandates for students at North American universities – an issue of obvious relevance to the college-rich Boston area.”

“In their paper, appearing in the Journal of Medical of Ethics, a publication of the British Medical Journal, the researchers estimated that to prevent one COVID-19 hospitalization over a six-month period, 31,207 to 42,836 young adults, aged 18–29, must receive a third mRNA vaccine. Moreover, for every COVID-19 hospitalization prevented, they estimated there are “at least 18.5 serious adverse events from mRNA vaccines,” including 1.5 to 4.6 cases of myocarditis in males, typically requiring hospitalization. They further estimated that preventing one COVID-19 hospitalization is associated with 1,430 to 4,626 cases of vaccine side-effects serious enough to interfere with daily activities, though typically not requiring hospitalization.”

“Policymakers should repeal COVID-19 vaccine mandates for young adults immediately,” the researchers conclude.”

“Most Boston-area universities required students arriving on campuses this fall to have the two initial COVID vaccines plus at least one booster shot. Harvard is requiring students to get the newer, bivalent booster.”

“No immediate reply was received following requests for comment on the report from Harvard, Boston University, Northeastern University, and Tufts University, all of which have booster requirements for students.”

Here is a link to the paper..

https://jme.bmj.com/content/early/2022/12/05/jme-2022-108449

‘Conclusion’

“Based on public data provided by the CDC,19 we estimate that in the fall of 2022 at least 31 207–42 836 young adults aged 18–29 years must be boosted with an mRNA vaccine to prevent one Omicron-related COVID-19 hospitalisation over 6 months. Given the fact that this estimate does not take into account the protection conferred by prior infection or a risk adjustment for comorbidity status, this should be considered a conservative and optimistic assessment of benefit. Our estimate shows that university COVID-19 vaccine mandates are likely to cause net expected harms to young healthy adults—for each hospitalisation averted we estimate approximately 18.5 SAEs and 1430–4626 disruptions of daily activities—that is not outweighed by a proportionate public health benefit. Serious COVID-19 vaccine-associated harms are not adequately compensated for by current US vaccine injury systems. As such, these severe infringements of individual liberty and human rights are ethically unjustifiable.”

Here is a graph of the risk/benefit analysis for mandated University Booster…

It’s inexcusable.

Benefits in Blue/Green, on the left…

Risks in Red/Pink, on the Right.

Clearly a very bad decision.

The cure can’t be worse than the disease.
In this case, the cure is far far worse than the disease.

And it is being forced on University students, etc.

Totally unacceptable.

I would say that the minimum penalty for gross negligence when it came to protecting the American people is loss of his government pension, if not the complete freezing of all of his assets depending on his intent and/or motive.

The electrical grid has been physically attacked at least six times in Oregon and Western Washington since mid-November, causing growing alarm for law enforcement as well as utilities responsible for parts of the region’s critical infrastructure.

According to information obtained by Oregon Public Broadcasting and KUOW Public Radio, at least two of the incidents bear similarities to the attacks on substations in North Carolina on Saturday that left thousands of people without electricity for days.

Portland General Electric, the Bonneville Power Administration, Cowlitz County Public Utility District and Puget Sound Energy have confirmed a total of six separate attacks on electrical substations they manage in Oregon and Washington. Attackers used firearms in at least some of the incidents in both states, and some power customers in Oregon and Washington experienced at least brief service disruption as a result of the attacks

A draft bill for Oregon’s 2023 legislative session that begins Jan. 17 would double the maximum prison sentence and fine — to 10 years in prison and $250,000 — for unlawful manufacture involving more than 100 plants and possession in excess of 32 times the legal limits. Personal possession limits in Oregon are 2 ounces (57 grams) of marijuana in a public place and 8 ounces (227 grams) in a home

This would help reduce illegal drug trafficking if implemented in Cali too!

It makes perfect sense.

The Marxists in todays Democrat Party are determined to weaken the US and leave us vulnerable to subversive narratives. Our borders are wide open, the Left’s Pravda is pitting us against each other and distracting us from the enemy within, and they’re devaluing our dollar; stripping ordinary Americans from their wealth. Trading Bout for Griner shows the rest of the world that the life of a professed Marxist who hates her/their country is worth more than the lives that Bout’s future arms trading will take in their countries and maybe even ours. Although Biden gave our enemies more hardware than Bout will ever sell when he fled Afghanistan.

As far as the treasure you mentioned? That’s just a way to launder our tax dollars back to the DNC and the RINOs in the Republican Party. Since they are hell bent on devaluing our dollar, they need more dollars to stay above inflation. Congress sends “aid” all over the world and a significant portion comes back to those in Congress that voted to send it.

Just want to mention that Whelan, who I see so many touting that he is an ex-Marine. Marines who are no longer in the service are former Marines (though for many in the USMC, it’s once a Marine always a Marine). Calling someone an EX-Marine is for those who got the boot, as Whelan did. The EX means the Marines do not consider him a Marine.
He was kicked out of the Marines, with a bad conduct discharge, after he was court-martialed for identity theft, larceny, ten bad checks, 3 counts of dereliction of duty, false reporting.
Mine is a Marine family, son is currently a Gunnery Sgt. The fourth generation in his family to serve as a Marine.
Not saying Whelan should be stuck in a Russian prison, but don’t think he is some hero Marine.

She is a US citizen.. That’s the point.
And do you know what this disgraced ex-marine was doing in Russia? He sure as hell wasn’t playing basketball..
Lots of US basketball players play for overseas teams.

“Dozens of male players, including some with N.B.A. experience, are looking past the international conflicts and signing deals there, saying their careers and potential earnings are separate from politics. At least one American woman is also playing in Russia this season, for the same club that Griner played with in the country.”

Griner is a professional WNBA player. She played/coached female Russian basketball players to supplement her income.
Should she have been in Russia? I don’t think so.
But beyond that, I am just rather tired of Whelan being called a “Real American” (so Griner, born and raised in the US isn’t is the implication), even in this very comment section. Oh, and that he was a Marine!!! Always neglecting to mention his ignoble Marine history.

I’m a Marine. So is Paul Whalen. You ever hear of Chesty Puller?

One of his most famous quotes is: “Take me to the brig. I want to see the real Marines.”

Paul Whelan spent time in the brig awaiting his court martial. If Chesty said real Marines were in the brig, then Paul Whelan is a real Marine. Run that little tidbit of information by your gunnery sergeant.

And look up information on Paul Whelan’s 14 years of service. He was in Iraq and a member of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He’s a Marine and worthy of the title.

He’s definitely more of a “ real American” than Brittney Griner. Her only redeeming social qualities are that she checks a couple of boxes that fits the Marxists’ narrative.

Sigh, “real” Marines don’t do the things Whelan was convicted of.

I know very well who Chesty Puller was. I doubt he would consider some one who was stealing a “real Marine”.

But ignore that the actual, you know, Marines kicked Whelan out. Because he did criminal things. Not getting drunk and getting into scrapes the the Squids, but actual theft of various kinds.
I’m more of a Smedley Butler fan myself.

But, hey!, you want to defend a thief’s honor, you go for it.

And Brittany Griner pled guilty to domestic violence charges. Going to apply the same standards to her? Whelan wrote bad checks then lied about it and Gruber injured her partner. And filed for annulment when her then wife got pregnant via IVF. She also called for the WNBA to stop playing the national anthem as a protest after various BLM protests. In fact that playing the national anthem at all sporting events should be barred.

Neither are comic book heroes. Their personal lives are not the issue. Although it would not be surprising if Whelan’s support for Trump didn’t play some part. Politics does play a part in the result for sure. As usual. But the details are as always speculation.

As I said bellow, I don’t much care about Griner. I object to the characterization of Whelan as some “Real American” Marine. As though, because he once served, he is extra special. Even though he was kicked out with a BCD.
And that while people are hollering about Whelan now, Trump had two years (and better relations with the Russians) to do something about Whelan.

Why you are directing this at me I have no idea. But since you brought it up….

You actually going to claim his supporting Trump had something to do with this?

And her standing up for racial injustice is a bad thing?

She also stood against pay equality in the WNBA, which is one of the reasons she was playing and coaching in Russia.

As far as Whelan goes do you know what he was up to in Russia?

I’m sorry. I guess I’m just confused. Thieves and less than honorable people are in the White House and on Capitol Hill, right now. Thieves are allowed to smash and grab in Beverly Hills and other places in this country with no fear of retribution. I thought this was how the tolerant left has wanted this country to become. I guess it’s because Paul Whelan is white that it’s so terrible that he’s a thief? The smash and grabs are generally done by POC, so we must tolerate them doing it? How many times are the goalposts going to be moved?

Take a look at the medals on Paul Whelan’s chest below:

The man may have received a bad conduct discharge from the Marines and more than likely deserved it. But his separation from military service did not strip him of the honors he accrued while in service. Just his rank and his benefits.

This Marine wants to see that Marine safely returned to the US. The Marines don’t abandon their casualties.

“No Marine Left Behind”.

But you do you and continue to preach “Marine” to a Marine.

And all those medals?

Whelan served in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1994 to 2008. While serving in the Marines, he did two deployments to Iraq and rose to the rank of staff sergeant. He worked as an administrative clerk and chief before being discharged in 2008 for bad conduct.
He was a clerk not a combat vet

All marines, regardless of their MOS, are riflemen. A clerk who served in a military operation trumps (God, I love the opportunity to use that term!) a dope smoking millennial who makes way too much money to play a child’s game, wouldn’t you agree? The only person who would disagree must be the WNBA’s fan.

One last time. Whelan was discharged from the Marines. The USMC does not consider him a former Marine. He fucked up enough that the Marines kicked him out. No GI Bill, no VA, etc. They are done with him. He wasn’t serving when he was arrested in Russia, he’d been kicked out for being a thief. He wasn’t “left behind”, he was kicked to the curb years before by the Marines.
I guess I could fire back back with the pictures of my son and his father (a Vietnam vet mustering out as Sgt.) and grandfather (tail end of WW2 and Korea) and great grandfather (who was a Sgt. Major in WW2). I’d love to post his picture from the Ball this past month. It’s the first time he ever wore the ceremonial sword and white gloves (that we have a picture of anyway). He looked great, hash marks up his sleeve and his second rocker he got a year ago. I’m very proud of my son.
Or I could post a pic of Lee Harvey Oswald, too. He was a Marine.
If you want a throw down or something. It’s silly.
The most silly thing is that I really don’t care that much about Griner. I thought she did something stupid leaving Russia with the vape thingies. She then became a political hostage, but I think she brought it on herself.
Also, why didn’t Trump work to get the “Real American” (what a load of codswallop)? Whelan was there for, what? 2 years before Trump was out of the White House?

Alabama COVID hospitalizations on the rise again after Thanksgiving.

Alabama topped 300 COVID hospitalizations this week for the first time in months, as the coronavirus and influenza have combined to create a surge of respiratory viral infection in the state.

Alabama’s COVID hospitalizations are the highest they’ve been since Oct. 1, and there are more than twice as many COVID patients in state hospitals as there were before Thanksgiving.

Chaos reigns at Twitter as Musk manages ‘by whims’

Musk has made and then withdrawn decisions including trying to retract his offer to buy Twitter. He’s fired executives, cut the number of full-time employees in half, and then realized maybe he’d gone too far and tried to hire back some people he just terminated. He’s floated ideas for subscription services and for charging a fee to verify that your account is really yours. But those ideas were met with widespread opposition. The number of content moderators has been slashed. Hate speech on Twitter has increased.

“If you will quote bigoted phrases”
Does the left really think saying a person is a transvestite is bigoted? I thought they were celebrated.
The article misgendered her,I picked it up (not intentionally, but the reaction has been enlightening) while copying what was/is an important perspective on the current state of the country.

The weird critiques here, on the right, as to Griner/Bout swap. The stuff about Griner’s occupation, gender, skin color, and/or orientation, etc. We are all poorly informed about what’s really going on behind the scenes at the diplomatic level. Y’know, it’s Statecraft — lots of issues affecting swaps, actual results often taking months or years.

BBC and others are now reporting more background as to what’s been worked on as to Whelan:
”This summer, Russia told the US it would be willing to swap Whelan for Vadim Krasikov, a former colonel from Russia’s domestic spy organisation who is in German custody … The US appealed to the German government to try to include Krasikov … but the country [Germany] denied this request … The US proposed several other options to the Russian government to try to secure Whelan’s release … “. — BBC
Note: Krasikov a convicted assassin on German soil.

Trump posted on his Bullshit Social “Why wasn’t former Marine Paul Whelan included in this totally one-sided transaction? He would have been let out for the asking.”

Whelan’s bother, David, responded with a tweet:
“Former President Trump appears to have mentioned my brother #PaulWhelan’s more in the last 24 hours than he did in the 2 years of his presidency in which Paul was held hostage by #Russia (zero). I don’t suggest he cares now anymore than he did then (zero).”

And the weighty intellects on the right conveniently forget Whelan was taken prisoner during Trump’s watch and he did absolutely nothing while POTUS. Now, he sees it as an imperative? How curious.

Let me get this straight: you *want* governments and corporations to more tightly control the flow of information? Because someone said something problematic?

All over the world, people are making the same mistake.

Chris Hedges: Know Thine Enemy

NOTE TO SCHEERPOST READERS FROM CHRIS HEDGES: There is now no way left for me to continue to write a weekly column for ScheerPost and produce my weekly television show without your help. The walls are closing in, with startling rapidity, on independent journalism, with the elites, including the Democratic Party elites, clamoring for more and more censorship.

My fate is now in your hands. By subscribing to Substack, you make it possible for me to continue my show, called “Days of Revolt” when it was on TeleSur, and “On Contact” when it was on RT, where I interview writers and dissidents, including Noam Chomsky, Cornel West, David Harvey, Heather Ann Thompson, Gerald Horne, Wendy Brown, Glenn Greenwald, and Matt Taibbi, as well as write my columns. I will produce a show and a column a week. Those on the subscriber list will receive these links a day or two before they go public. There will be space for more intimate conversations on Substack — I am hoping once a month. There will be bonus material on Substack that follows the half-hour interviews with guests to discuss points we should have raised and missed. And there will be, as there has been through the years, us, our community, separated from the herd, striving to march to the beat of a different drummer.

https://scheerpost.com/2022/03/17/the-chris-hedges-report/

Chris should be known by most left leaning readers.

The survey found 61% of the public think Trump should not seek the presidency, compared with 30% who believe he should. And 70% say Biden should not run for a second term with just 19% supporting a run.

Substantial numbers in each politicians’ own party prefer their names not be on the ballot, including 37% of Republicans who don’t want Trump to run along with 61% of independents and 88% of Democrats.

For Biden, 57% of Democrats say he shouldn’t stand for office in 2024 along with 66% of independents and 86% of Republicans.

White nationalist Richard Spencer appeared on far-right streamer Ethan Ralph’s “Killstream” program Saturday, where he explained that former President Donald Trump won’t denounce Nick Fuentes—the racist, misogynistic, antisemitic, America-hating, Christian fascist leader of the white nationalist America First movement—because Trump “doesn’t disavow his own people.

This thread proves 3 things:

1) Twitter execs were regularly meeting with FBI over what to censor.

2) Twitter’s censorship was almost 100% aligned with the Dem Party.

3) Twitter’s chief censors were deranged ideologues abusing their power over our discourse to silence dissent.

Fraudulent statements, likewise, are not protected speech. My freedom of speech doesn’t protect my right to claim that the water I’m selling is really wine. And that’s why liberal journalism moved away from disagreeing in opinion pieces and toward “fact-checking” and then flagging supposed “disinformation,” often flagging perfectly true pieces of information as false. This way, they could brand opinions they disliked as “lies” or “disinformation,” which in turn would give tech platforms an excuse to censor them.
You see, it’s not that we dislike the opinion that this virus might have escaped from a lab — it’s that it’s harmful misinformation!
News outlets in the Trump era have built out new divisions entirely dedicated to policing misinformation. What they are really doing is building up a permission structure for censorship.
Every time you see a liberal reporter cry “disinformation” or see AOC mention “stochastic terrorism,” know that what they’re really doing is categorizing speech they disagree with as unprotected speech — thus speech fit to be censored.

New Yorkers Are Urged to Wear Masks Indoors as Covid and Flu Cases Rise
An increase in Covid, flu and R.S.V. cases prompted city health officials on Friday to tell residents to wear high-quality masks indoors and in crowded outdoor settings.

The advisory comes as the rate of new Covid cases in the city has increased by about 55 percent over the past two weeks, according to data compiled by The New York Times, while the hospitalization rate has increased by 20 percent over that time.

The data in these charts is gathered by The Washington Post from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state government sites (cases and deaths) and the Department of Health and Human Services (hospitalizations). Not all tracking sites use the same sources or report dates, so case and death numbers can differ.

Nice to see the toning down, sincerely. Beyond local happenings, moderate-Joe is backing entry of African Union to permanent spot in the G-20. Cool. Far Left happenings? Mostly holiday shopping, snowplay, decorating tree, including with figurene dudes in … robes, capes, flashy hats ‘n belts. The far Right? More Terrorism. This time a bomb-threat called into Patti Labelle concert. Patti Labelle — gay icon and self-described “original drag queen” (she’s rather adored by male drag scene). Sigh.

Fauci’s covid lab experiments led to the death of 6-7 million, on par with Stalin, Hitler, & Pol Pot. Who in their right mind thinks man made, genetically engineered, more lethal viruses are a good idea for anything but a bioweapon? Fauci needs to be held to account, trial at the Hague.

I strongly disagree. Forcing your pronouns upon others when they didn’t ask, and implicitly ostracizing those who don’t, is neither good nor kind to anyone.

As for Fauci, he lied to Congress and funded gain-of-function research that killed millions of people. Not awesome imo.

Fauci brings out a sort of religious allegiance in some people. For them criticizing him is blasphemy. It doesn’t even matter to these superstitious people whether Fauci helped start this epidemic through his sick gain-of-function experiments. He’s their messiah for a secular age

It’s amazing the garbage that Dr. Fauci has to endure after decades of public service. “Religious allegiance in some people” and “superstitious people”? Say what? You mean like the MAGA crowd? You’re trolling right? Have another hit of ivermectin.

That’s because the CCP reveres him and beagles fear him.

Masks not needed!

Wait, mask up!

Take your vaccines!

“But, Dr. Fauci, the vaccines don’t provide immunity!”

Then keep taking the vaccines until your body is no longer a hospitable host to the virus!

“Dr.” Fauci began to see himself as a character in a bad Hollywood movie after playing mad scientist with pathogens, that’s all.

It’s more of a hypnotized, brainwashed, “cult following”.

Fauci is more of a cult leader than he is a Doctor.
