With a strong Voter turnout, Fernandez has extended his lead to 53%. He is excited and prepared to serve the 3rd Ward Community and City of Eureka.

“I am proud to serve as a council member to our working class and families in my ward and the City of Eureka.” Fernandez said, “I want to thank Voters for their continued confidence and their collaboration as we head into the next four years. I had a lot of great conversations when I knocked on your doors, and got a chance to listen to what you folks had to say. Now I get the chance to act on that.”

About leaving the Eureka City School board, Fernandez said “I’ll miss working with the school board. I gained a great range of experience working with the trustees and the community. I value the hard work and dedication of the faculty and staff and I look forward to collaborating with the school board from an alternate point of view.”

Fernandez and his team also want to give special thanks and recognition to all of the campaign’s volunteers and supporters. “I absolutely couldn’t have done this without a great team showing up to help me out. A special thank you goes out to Dani Burkhart, Thomas Edrington, and Karen Paz Dominguez. My partner, Lisa, deserves credit for supporting me in this endeavor and for all the time and energy she put into keeping the campaign motivated. I also appreciate the organizations and public figures that stood up to endorse me. Without the help of the Labor community, and our local Democrats and Progressive this would have been a much tougher campaign to win.”

While an election may become divisive by nature it also creates a momentum for resolution to bring the community together. Fernandez said, “Eurekans largely agree on the challenges and issues we have before our city, though, they may differ on the solutions. My role is to serve the residents and represent their best interests resolving conflict through cooperation, coordination, and collaboration.

Let me get this straight, the Jan 6 protest turned into attack on the capital. 5 people died, one attacker shot and killed by police, one person overdosed, and three died of natural causes. Nancy Pelosi compared this to the civil war, just another no good lying politician. Really haven’t given this protest any time until now, comparing it to the civil war made me research it. As usual , just another greedy politician campaigning, tired of these low lifes. She looks like she has done some serious drugs in her day.

Gee, I must have missed the part of the article that mentions Pelosi. Ranger Rick, can you please reference that part? Or is this just another case of going off-topic?

Pelosi is a politician and a Democrat, the article is about politicians and democrats. Where did I stray ? Are you policing the comment section? Or you just voted for Nancy and the truth about Jan 6 hurts?

Pelosi is part of the demon party, and the demons were mentioned. As usual demon deniers. I did also see where Obama and Trump are close friends, I suppose they laugh pretty hard behind closed doors at how naive voters are.

So then all Republicans are like Trump, following your ‘logic’. So you think highly of tax evaders and classified file borrowing. Hmm.

I didn’t vote for Trump. I don’t stand on the right or left, I stand front and center and I’m tired of being overtaxed and watching a government ran by a bunch of idiots. But the population keeps voting the same idiots into office. The right party tells you who you can vote for and the left party tells you who you can vote for, crack me up. Voters don’t have a clue. Keep voting, things will get better, not.

Might be better if you didn’t vote, crack me up. The reason the founding fathers only allowed white property owners to vote was because, they were the ones paying attention to the ‘news’ (I’m not defending their position in this day and age) BUT, it’s still true, it’s best if only well informed people vote. It would avoid debacles like Trumpism.
