Two Injured in Broadway Crash

About 6:40 p.m., two vehicles collided in the 2600 block of Broadway near the In-N-Out Burger place. Two people were injured. One has moderate injuries and one has mild injuries, according to emergency personnel on scene speaking over the scanner.

Both northbound lanes of Broadway are blocked, according to the same person speaking to scanner.

A silver Hyundai has moderate damage to the passenger side, he relayed to dispatch. He added that a white Ford also has moderate damage.

Thankfully that today’s cars and trucks leak far less oil on the roads than decades ago, making the roads less treacherous on first rains after long periods of dryness.
Just look at a satellite image of Broadway from 1990, and then at the most recent image, and the dark black stripe of oil in the middle of each lane has diminished considerably

Ummm….you do realize that the binder in road asphalt IS oil….right?
