What is going on lately with all the motorcycle accidents. I don’t know who was at fault, but the biker verses a vehicle is never a good outcome for the biker. I sure hope the biker will heal from his major injuries and be fine again. I also feel sorry for the vehicle driver no matter if it was their fault or not. It is a sickening feeling to know your vehicle might have just severely injured or killed someone. I have said it before, but people in vehicles and on motorcycles please watch out for one another!

There seems to be a greater number of motorcycles on the road lately. I don’t know why, maybe gas prices.

Yeah that, but motorcycles are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

I am sure gas prices and nice weather have brought them out to ride.

I came back from sohum this pm. Guy on a ricer going south at at least 90mph, splitting lanes. Guy on a red bagger with apes running at least 80. Saw 1 chp at the Pepperwood undercrossing.
Lots of speeding cars and pickups too. 70 on cruise feels like I might get rear ended.
Like Coop said: “Keep on speedin’, hell ain’t half full”.

80 mph is standard cruising speed for the HAs.

If you’re enjoying the freedom of the open road on a motorcycle, you have to think like a fighter pilot. Before flight check everything on the bike. On the road assume every other vehicle is driven by an assassin who is actively trying to kill you. And never give an oncoming driver an opportunity to turn left in front of you – accelerate to get to the intersection before they have a chance to turn, or slow down to make room for them before you get there.

It’s those folks that want to hang a left in front of me , that gets me worried. Always try to make eye contact and some times even wave to thank them for not running me over!
