Humboldt Life Plan Senior Community Receives Donation from Cher-Ae Heights Casino Patrons
Press release from Cher-Ae Heights Casino:
In May and June of this year, the Heights Casino in Trinidad designated Life Plan Humboldt as its “nonprofit of the month.” Casino patrons donated $3329.13 toward the building of Life Plan Humboldt. Ryan Sundberg, the Casino’s General Manager explained, “We at the Heights Casino fully support the concept of a life plan community in our area and feel Life Plan Humboldt is situated to make it a reality.” The Board of Life Plan Humboldt is grateful for the support from the patrons of the Heights Casino
Life Plan Humboldt is a local non-profit formed to plan, build, and support Humboldt’s first and only all-inclusive life plan community for adults 60 years of age and older. There is no such option within 200 miles of Humboldt County.
Life Care Humboldt has raised over $900,000 in donations, pledges, and grants in 2022 and will need to raise an additional million in the next two years to pay for development expenses. The Life Care Humboldt Board of Directors express their sincere thanks to all those who donated. You can learn more about Life Plan Humboldt at: lifeplanhumboldt.org

Now please explain what a “life plan” community is.
“Don’t forget that 13 cents.”
Go to https://www.lifeplanhumboldt.org/ to see what lifeplan humboldt is, its a great idea on its way to becoming a reality in the near future.
I love this idea. There are too many lonely homesteaders in the hills that could use some community as they age. Living in the hills is a young persons endeavor.
Well the article said casino patrons donated, not the casino. Headline should reflect that.
Fair enough. Fixed.
