Bless the salmon creek volunteer fire dept, they are hero’s, is that 3-4 already put out this year? Our entire county owes you a debt of gratitude!

On another note, this pge aspect is concerning.
It seems to me when you cut a bunch of trees around the poles that causes the land to move and then the power lines around the cut trees fall. Didn’t our community call Mike Mcguires office in mass demanding pge bury the lines? When is that happening?

It won’t happen, because Mike McGuire doesn’t give two shits about anything other than virtue signaling.

Uh, never. You are essentially asking PG&E to double their rates

I think it is time for PG&E to start their own firefighting unit! A big thank you to the Salmon Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Outstanding response.

They would be incompetent, but they should have to pay for it, that’s for sure. In reality though, the ideal solution would be for the customers or employees to own the electrical grid, instead of PG&E shareholders.

I really don’t care to own any of the electrical grid. PG&E should be putting the electrical cables in the ground in areas where they start fires when the lines come down. I would pay for that if they traveled through my property.

There are states east of the Mississippi whose power lines have been buried for decades, it cuts costs , no fire hazard, no perpetual tree trimming, lower maintenance costs.

Yes! But most companies, especially when they are in bed with state government don’t want to spend the money.
