Hmmmmm was it suspicious?
The Scout Incident…
Everything that goes on in Myers Flat is suspicious.
Myers Flat IS where it’s at
ha! I had that bumper sticker in the 70s
Only people whose attitudes and behavior are morally upright and often naive must live on Boy Scout Road…
Not me… Well not so much…
Of course, I lived on Myers Avenue… On the westernmost lot, on the north side…
Technically, I guess I did live along Boy Scout Road, a little, as I lived on the corner at the intersection…
But as far as being among “people whose attitudes and behavior are morally upright and often naive”…
Let’s just say it was along the short side, and it was just “borderline”…
Just across the street from the dropped pin…
Now let me tell you about the rattlesnake that I killed yesterday…
Broke my darn shovel on it…
Chopped it about in half, and cut the head off though…
You should a seen it trying to boogy after that…
It’s the darndest thing…
Just a heads up, they’re out and about…
Pretty good sized one, a little over two feet, about 2 1/2” thick, six rattles and a button. It was just about all the way across the road above the Tooby cattleguard, heading towards the sunset, and the good folks on Roy Heiders old place on Flat Rock Rd.
Not quite fast enough, though…
I put the kibosh on that one for ya, Byron…
Hopefully, it was “morally upright” as it could be… It definitely wasn’t “naive”…
Serpents!… Yuck!…
Especially pit vipers!…
I called it in. Jesse at the coffee shop said he went down & checked and it was just white smoke billowing out of a trailer. Iwas on my way to lunch. It was all out when I came home.
Thanks for the update Vet…
Pretty soon it is going to be Myers Burnt Flat, with nothing left.
What a shitty thing to say. A lot of people live here in the middle of Humboldt Redwood Park and are pretty fond of it. Please tell us where you live so we can wish you saftey and beauty to heal your angry heart.
I have to live in Eureka for health reasons, but I was raised in Miranda and had relatives in Myers Flat. I am not at all angry. I put Burnt in between Myers Flat relating to the fires that seem to be happening every now and then. How long have you lived in the area Vet?
37 years
I assume that you must have known Gerldine and Sid Myers, Bobby Myers, Sue Myers, etc.
Vet, I did not think you could answer that question about some of the folks that lived there. Are you sure that you are not from “Fruitland.”
I hope that is adequate to meet your standard. And I don’t live in “the area”. I live right here, in town, in Myers Flat.
I don’t have a standard. Was just interested in how long you have lived there. A lot of people shoot off the mouth and have nothing to back it up with!
Glad situation contained and everyone safe!
