ADDITIONAL UPDATES
Slow the Spread: Get Vaccinated and Boosted for COVID-19
The risk for COVID-19 exposure and infection continues as a number of Californians remain unvaccinated and unboosted.
Real-world evidence continues to show that the vaccine prevents severe illness, hospitalization, and death. Public health officials urge Californians to get vaccinated and boosted as soon as possible.
It is recommended that every individual six months of age and older receive their primary COVID-19 vaccine series and booster dose.
Find a vaccine near you by visiting myturn.ca.gov or calling 1-833-422-4255. The consent of a parent or legal guardian may be needed for those under age 18 to receive a vaccination. Visit Vaccinate All 58 to learn more about the safe and effective vaccines available for all Californians six months of age and older.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms, talk to a health care provider right away to learn if you qualify for treatment. You can also find Test to Treat locations that offer COVID-19 testing and free treatment. If you are uninsured, find free Test to Treat services at OptumServe sites.
Your Actions Save Lives
Protect yourself, family, friends and your community by following these prevention measures:
- Sign-Up for COVID-19 Policy Alerts: COVID-19 Policy Alerts provide up-to-date information regarding CDPH COVID-19 guidance and policy, including changes to orders, mandatory guidance and more. Registrants will receive prompt email alerts to updated guidance and policy available on our website as well as accompanying translations. Sign-up for the COVID-19 Policy Alerts emails today.
- Wear A Mask When Recommended or Required: Under California’s mask guidance, masks are strongly recommended for all individuals in most indoor settings. Masks are required for everyone in high transmission settings like emergency shelters, health care settings, correctional facilities, homeless shelters and long-term care facilities. Local jurisdictions may have additional requirements beyond the state requirements based on local conditions.
- Upgrade Your Mask: Good fit and filtration continue to be the best way to get the most out of your mask. The best masks for preventing COVID-19 include the N95, KN95 and KF94. If you don’t have access to one of these masks, wear a surgical mask or a surgical mask with a cloth mask on top. If you choose a fabric mask, opt for one with three or more cloth layers. No matter what kind of mask you wear, check the fit by avoiding gaps above the nose or on the sides.
- Isolation and Quarantine Guidance: CDPH no longer recommends quarantine for individuals who are exposed to COVID-19 and have no symptoms. For more information please see: Isolation and Quarantine Guidance. Additionally, CDPH added recommendations for workers in certain high-risk settings (healthcare settings, long-term care settings and shelters, among others).
- My Vaccine Record is an easy way to show vaccination status at venues or businesses that require proof of vaccination. Visit myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov today to get your vaccine record.
- Recommendations if You’re Sick or Have Been Exposed: If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches), or believe you have been exposed, get tested, call your health care provider, and stay home and away from others. Free, confidential testing is available statewide. Know what to do if you test positive for COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19.
- Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Travel Tips: Delay travel (both domestic and international) until you are fully vaccinated. See the CDC’s full travel guidance. If you decide to travel, the state’s travel advisory recommends that all travelers arriving in California test for COVID-19 within three to five days after arrival, regardless of their vaccination status.
- Add Your Phone to the Fight: Sign up for COVID-19 exposure notifications from CA Notify. Also, individuals who test positive for COVID-19 – including those who test at home – are able to alert others of a potential exposure more quickly and conveniently. Individuals can now initiate the notification process as soon as they are aware of their positive test result. For more information, please visit the “Notify Others” page on CA Notify.
- Answer the call or text if a contact tracer from the CA COVID Team or your local health department tries to connect.
- Check with your local health department about local conditions. Local health jurisdictions can implement protocols that are stricter than state guidance.

And especially now that Monkeypox is spreading.
Four women in Georgia are confirmed cases. One woman stated she was a cashier and no, sex was not involved.
Thanks. The midterms are approaching, huh, gotta start a scare. Nobody cares anymore in case u have not noticed. It is MAD MAX time. .What is a true picture of our society today is that dui women in SoCal who drove 100 mph thru an intersection and killed a baby, a mom who was pregnant, and five other people in a giant fireball of metal and blood. She lived by the way. Only the good die young. Screw all of this garbage, leave people alone. PS, as seen on the back of a camper on an old Dodge Ram 250 Powerwagon being fueled up by a beautiful woman at the Laytonville gas station this morning: COVID 1984 and THE MEDIA is The VIRUS. Yep. Thanks.
The article uses the word statistics. Whose idea was it to ramp it up to FACTS?
The word facts should be in quotation marks. There have been so many sources of so many untruths presented as facts that at least some folks doubt it all by now. We are in the Post-truth Era.
Statistics are facts. All facts come with a degree of confidence that approaches but never reaches certainty. Statistics are the tools we use to determine facts in science and mathematics.
“There Are Three Kinds of Lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics”
https://quoteinvestigator.com/2022/06/22/lies-statistics/
Just one example is the question of whether an individual died from covid or with covid.
We are all well aware of the quote. It is intened for those who are smart enough to see the nuances in the statement. Scientific facts are statistics.
https://www.science.org/content/article/potential-fabrication-research-images-threatens-key-theory-alzheimers-disease
Sometimes it turns out the statistics are fabrications, like with Alzheimer’s drugs in the news recently. Oh, and also like plenty of covid related “facts”. Made up bullshit is so nuanced. It must be great to be smart enough to see the emperor’s fancy new clothes.
Not all stats are facts, but all scientific facts are stats. In this case the two are interchangeable.
Lots of “scientific facts” are either mathematical equations or individual numbers in the case of the various constants.
Why is the new Novavax not being offered in Sohum when it is apparently offered in Petrolia, Honeydew, Fortuna & Eureka?
First paragraph always compares vaccinated with unvaccinated. What we trying to sell? Hopefully everyone understands every person is different, some have zero chance of dying from COVID-19 , some have one foot in the grave. Crack me up, ain’t no one staying here forever, now how many tricycles we shipping to the white house? We’ve gotta save Joe! I’m starting a save Mr. Biden foundation.
I suppose what they’re trying to “sell” is basic information, namely that vaccination has a protective effect.
I had covid after 3 jabs. Would not have known it til I tested positive. Very mild. With new variants around I got my latest (4th) at Healy Senior Center thru My Turn on line.
Good thing you tested , did you test for the flu in previous years? Why not? If everyone had tested in previous years, would numbers be the same? This is critical scientific data we’ll never have, which would prove most are panicking over nothing. Carry on , get you sum tp quick! Crack me up.

Let me tie this together with the Ukraine war:
https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/bulletin-russia-to-capture-kiev-and-odessa-over-u-s-biological-laboratories
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stunned the collective West today when he declared that Russia “Has information that the US built two additional bio warfare labs; one in Kiev, the other in Odessa. We will have to capture those cities to dismantle those labs to save the world from another pandemic.”
This stunning statement makes clear Kiev and Odessa are now officially targets of the Russian special military operation (SMO).
It also makes clear that Russia flatly believes it was the US through its foreign biolabs, that caused the COVID-19 pandemic, and may also be to blame for the outbreak of Monkeypox.

Hal Turner ? Really this is what you RWNJ’s call “facts”?
Hal is about as bad as Alex Jones… however…comma… Sergie Lavrov statements are in all the over seas press….and in some western press also.
The point is due diligence…not shoot the postal workers delivering the mail. This is a common problem on the nor cal blogs… not to put to fine a point on it…there are many press bigots. BIGOTS. Got it? Do your research..then speak.
Thanks Mark
Who is Hal Turner? All I know is I need a starter cap, it apparently drives ignorant people nuts. Just for wearing a cap, crack me up. Dude is history, now he is making history because certain people can’t let it go. Same people that bought all the tp, are keeping the orange buffoon in the spotlight. In order to keep that fame going ,every famous person promoter knows you’ve got to keep them in the spotlight, good or bad publicity is better than no publicity. Crack me up.
In general, about 0.83% of the population dies each year from all causes. If you take the population of California at 39.2 million, multiply it by the annual average death rate, and divide this number annually dying by 365, you get about 891 Californians dying each day. The fact that 31 of the 891 are dying from Covid is not very significant (about 3.5% of deaths in California are due to Covid. This means 96.5% of Californians are dying from other causes).
Nevermind the damage even a ‘mild’ infection leaves you with…and then how about those insurance actuaries stats? Flies in the face of your ‘it’s no big deal, bro’ bs…
What insurance actuarial stats are you seeing? I’d be interested to look at them if they can be linked
What about the folks that were symptomless or had to be tested just to realize they “had it?” Is that mild enough of an infection for you?
We see all of you, holding it in, just can’t wait to but but but COVID! We see ya’lls problem, you say science this and science that and the FACTS! The truth of the matter is, and we can see it, ya’lls assholes are too tight. We see all of you, all scrunched up, full of compressed air, we know it must feel uncomfortable, we know all of you have to feel pretty darn uncomfortable at this point, and if all of you vaccinators and covidites are so into “the science,” you would know that holding it all in like that, with a scrunched up asshole, you know “the science” says that’s really unhealthy. Just let it out already and be done.
