Fatal Collision Between a Motorcycle and a Big Rig on Hwy 299
A motorcyclist died after a collision between a Peterbilt logging truck and a motorcycle on Hwy 299 just east of Hwy 3 in Trinity County about 3:18 p.m. According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, this is a fatal crash.
Dispatch relayed about 3:21 p.m. on the CHP page that the motorcycle “rider was trapped under the big rig.” By 5:15, the page reported this was a fatal crash.
The roadway is now open though there was one way traffic control for about two hours.

This was a sad one and the people driving by the accident when someone is clearly standing in the middle of the road waving arms people should stop and ask if they need help instead of being a jerk and flying by yelling like an ass it was clearly an accident and they were begging anyone to stop and call 911 for them yet the first car was hella rude I was right there to see it first hand so if the person is reading this that did that you are a jerk and you need to learn how to be a decent human hopefully you are never in a situation like this needing help like this person was asking. Unfortunately this was in a no cell reception area so it was a little hard to call for help but that guy was so out of line it just made me sick. Prayers going out to the driver and the family of the the rider she will be missed.
