Press release from Humboldt County Public Health:

Humboldt County Public Health confirmed today the hospitalization of a resident in their 40s. No new deaths were reported. An additional 215 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 were announced as well as 76 new probable cases for the period between Tuesday, June 28, and Tuesday, July 5. The total number of confirmed cases in the county stands at 19,813. An additional 4,147 cases are reported as probable.*

Local vaccination data has been updated on the COVID-19 Data Dashboard. Highlights include:

  • Since the last weekly report on June 28, an additional 71 residents completed their vaccine series.
  • A total of 90,652 individuals, or approximately 67% of the county’s total population, have been fully vaccinated as of Tuesday.

In response to increasing COVID-19 case counts in Northern California, the Rural Association of Northern California Health Officers (RANCHO) recently issued a statement about current concerns and recommendations.

The coalition of health officers, which represents 11 rural counties, warned there is potential for surges of hospitalized patients and impacts on schools and business as well as high-risk congregate settings such as skilled nursing facilities. The RANCHO statement noted, “Northern California counties generally lag behind the rest of CA for increased cases. Although there is some immunity provided after infection, it is not sufficient to prevent spread or variant progression.” The coalition added that unvaccinated residents are much more likely to be infected, hospitalized and face death.

RANCHO is recommending that Northern California residents:

  • Get Vaccinated and boosted if eligible. Infants 6 months and older and toddlers are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Test before going to an indoor event or party or travelling on public transportation. If you have symptoms or test positive, stay home. Call your provider for effective treatments if you test positive for COVID-19.
  • Gather outdoors to make it harder for COVID-19 to spread to others.
  • Mask indoors in public places. Open windows to improve ventilation and upgrade HVAC filters to Merv 13 or the highest possible.

OptumServe continues to offer rapid antigen testing and PCR testing services at the Wharfinger site. PCR tests are available only on a walk-in basis and must be specifically requested from the attendee. Walk-in attendees should receive only rapid antigen testing unless the attendee specifically states they require a PCR test. Appointments for antigen testing can be made at lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling 888-634-1123.

Vaccines remain readily available throughout Humboldt County and, as always, Humboldt’s vaccination and testing services are available free of charge. Walk-ins are welcome at all Public Health clinics and some pharmacy vaccination sites. Appointments can also be made at MyTurn.ca.gov.

Several schools in the area allow parents to chose, except Eureka High who is steadfast against it and gravely afraid of losing students. We had to pull so many teeth to allow our daughter to go elsewhere she now wears dentures.

One study found that people with low levels of vitamin D had a 7.2% chance of testing positive for COVID-19. Another found that high levels of vitamin D might lower your risk for severe COVID-19 infection, especially if you’re a Black person. And a third study found that giving vitamin D to hospitalized patients with moderate to severe COVID-19 didn’t help their condition or reduce their hospital stay.

Evidence suggests that only about 10% of the number that died, would have died, if only they had been adequately supplemented with vitamin D.

That means about 900,000 Americans died unnecessarily.

Which means that vitamin D would have prevented many times more deaths, (that occured), than the vaccines are said to have prevented…

It’s also stretching it to suggest that the vaccines prevented 20 million deaths that didn’t happen…

With vitamin D, only 2 million would have died of these projected deaths.

I may have exaggerated, but no more than you did.

With all this surging of new cases I think it’s time for another 2 week shut down by Mr newsome and we obviously need to look at going back to distant learning for our schools or at the very least mandatory masks in schools. How are restraints still serving people inside? I haven’t gone out to eat in 3 years and go grocery shopping only in the early hours of stores opening and I’m still covid free. World wide petroleum prices are interrelated. Russia’s biggest customers are China and India. The Ukraine war is putting more pressure on prices as countries supporting the Ukraine are boycotting Russian oil they are driving demand for oil from other sources. Demand exceeding supply prices stay up. Fracking and the Keystone pipeline would have very little effect on world prices.

Wouldn’t Russia fulfilling China and India demand free up oil they would normally buy elsewhere, that can then be sold in Europe replacing Russian oil? Keystone would be supplying a million barrels a day and fracking opens otherwise unprofitable resources so both would obviously substantially increase supply and drive prices lower – simple economics.

I have been taking 10,000 iu of vitamin D3 daily for ten years. Per my health providers instruction.
But you should note that you can take to much Vitamin D. Why didn’t you mention that? Is there a syndrome for that?
Also you need to read up on D and D3.
There are quite a few differences between vitamin D and vitamin D3 but the main difference between them is that vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that regulates calcium and phosphorous levels of the body whereas the vitamin D3 is the natural form of vitamin D produced by the body from sunlight.
Studies have found that vitamin D3 effectively raises blood vitamin D levels for a longer period than vitamin D2

You can take the mRNA jabs… alter your very DNA… repeatedly.

I encourage people to build their natural immunity from all methods possible. If you were non mRNA…would you have sexual relations with a mRNA jab person?

An assessment of others cannot possibly be employed successfully , or even reasonably, to properly assess an issue that is solely within oneself.

Egocentric Bias,
therefore, must be recognized and addressed ONLY inwardly, and NEVER outwardly, or it will not only never be solved or corrected, it won’t ever even be properly recognized…🤷‍♂️

Recognizing egocentric bias, only in others, is not recognizing egocentric bias, at all.

Doing so, I believe, would be a perfect example of “egocentric bias”….🙂

It is, in fact, something that any of us might display.

What is imperative, though, is that we look inwardly, towards ourselves first, in order to recognize it, and assess it, properly.

Looking only outwardly, and claiming to recognize it, is, like I said, a perfect example of “egocentric bias”.

You say, “I have seen it first hand”, and, “It’s pretty self-evident when it occurs.”

So who does your recognition apply to?

I am not denying that I might display or possess an “egocentric bias”.

It’s possible, even probable, as it’s probably human nature, and lack of an egocentric bias, would basically be non-existent and unheard of.

Who wouldn’t have an egocentric bias?

Doesn’t everyone? How about you?

My point was, that egocentric bias, might result in it’s recognition only among others, but not recognizing it within one’s self.

That proves a clear imbalance in Biden’s thought processing.

That he would “seriously” try to etch such an obscene image into the minds of America, or that he would be “imagining” it, to further an abortion agenda, or for any other reason, is deeply, deeply, disturbing.

I’ve always been able to choose my doctor, not have one assigned to me without my permission, until Biden took office.
But maybe you’re not able to make those kinds of choices for yourself.
