Hang in there freepass! This will just be a memory soon enough.
this I know….
We he in the back of a pickup?
I am not sure if he was in the bed of a truck or fell out of a door that opened.
He and another teen were laying on an air mattress in the back of a pickup truck to hold it down so it wouldn’t blow out.
It blew out, with them on it.
I just pray that young man will recover from his major injuries. Thank you to the CHP and Reach Air Ambulance. Your response hopefully will save his life. Hang in there young man we are all praying for you.
Have a safe 4th! No riding around with drunk drivers
Was there alcohol involved?
You will recover from your accident young man, but didn’t I tell you to be more careful?
CHP H-16 was copter that flew him to Redding
This is my son. He had major injuries on site, by the time he got to Mercy Medical Center his injuries were less so. By the Grace of God there was healing that happened in the short time and many prayers that went up. In less than 12 hours serious head swelling minimized to almost nothing. That’s just one example if God’s Grace. Six weeks from now he’ll be fully healed and headed off to college as planned.
For every one who prayed, I am grateful. For the decency and respect shown I am grateful. It was a horrid accident from errors in judgement from a lot of individuals. Those individuals are greatly loved and valued. Healing of the body, mind, and soul is going to take time. There is no one person to blame and there have been severe consequences related to this incident.
Thank you again for the prayers and respect.
Very glad to hear your son will be ok. Teens frequently make decisions that put themselves in danger. Our goal as parents is to get them through the young years alive while their brains catch up with their bodies! When we used to go camping, I always argued with my ex-husband about safety…things like driving the kids down to the boat dock while they sit on the tailgate. My arguments always fell on deaf ears. Thankfully, no one was ever injured but it certainly could have happened. So glad a lapse in judgement didn’t become the last decision he ever made. This is a wonderful ending to a horrible story. I’m so sorry y’all went through this.
Thank you very much for the update.
It sounded and sounds like it was very serious when and where he was injured.
I am very relieved that he is doing better and the swelling was relieved. And I am humbled by your faith. I too have faith, and am grateful you and your loved ones have been blessed as can be under these difficult circumstances.
I hope that your son continues to improve, and that he makes a full recovery.
Ruth can be a very dangerous place.
I avoid it as much as possible.
I am so very grateful, also, for the prompt professional response that was provided for him, in order to get him the help that he needed.
That is truly a miracle.
And you sound like a very good Mom.
He’s a lucky kid.
Blessings.
Thanks for the great news! I’m so glad you can sleep tonight.
I’m also thankful this thread didn’t go completely negative, like so many do.
Prayer is for granting us the joy of seeing God’s will executed through us as it becomes our will…All the best…
Thank you very much for the update on your son. It was the kind of news I was praying for. God has truly worked another of his miracles! I wish your son the very best and hope he enjoys his first year at college.
