Fire at the Town House Motel in Eureka This Evening

K Street and one lane of 4th Street are blocked after a fire in a room at the Town House Motel in Eureka that started about 8:30 p.m.

The fire is controlled as of 8:40 p.m. Several engines are being released at this time.

If there were any people in the room, I sure hope they got out safely. Thank you, Humboldt Bay Fire and the Eureka Police Department.

Why? Are you concerned the “artist” might be inspired to put paintings of fires on buildings in Eureka? 😉

Assisted devices? Ok. But come on. It was just a playful comment. Not an attack. But yes, I will try to remember that about Claudia, if this may be an issue for her.
Question though. Does the device prevent her/ a user from proofreading before (or after) posting? With ‘auto-correct’ these days I find I need to try to proofread everything, and even then words change after I have moved on to the next sentence……

That’s a nice little hotel. Last time I stayed there (pre-pandemic) the host was delightful. And. I know at least one famous (rather than infamous) local lawyer who call that home when in trial in Eureka.
