I pray that Cal Fire can get a handle on this fire and put it out before it spreads and grows into another monster. Be safe everyone working the lines on the fire.

Just great. Here we go again… Time to set the fire pump up and lay out some hoses.

What’s really scary is the volume of heavy fuels that PGE’s vegetation management programs have left piled up in the form of logs and big piles of chips all along their rights of way all over northern California. Whether or not their power lines start a fire, they’re responsible for a tremendous fuel load, just waiting for a spark. Their activities are not supposed to leave landowners with a big mess, an increased fire hazard, or an added expense of cleaning up after them. But here we are.

The power consumer is also responsible..
If nobody bought into the grid power, they might remove the lateral lines off the mains going to cities.
People in the woods should have no power.
You want power?
Go live in the city

Go look around at the mess the Forest Service left in the wake of the Monument fire, the logging industry couldn’t make that big of a mess in 150 years, drive the “16 road” from Big Bar to Hayfork and see how they’re managing OUR Forest.
