Last night, a man with warrants stopped by an officer with the California Highway Patrol fled on foot abandoning two juveniles in his vehicle.

According to CHP Officer John Clevenger, about 7:35 p.m., a CHP officer pulled over a vehicle on the Avenue of the Giants near Phillipsville. Clevenger explained that the vehicle occupied by the man matched the description of one that had fled officers a few days previously.

“The driver took foot bail and ran off into the mobile home park,” Clevenger told us. The officer on scene discovered two juveniles left sitting in the vehicle. One of the juveniles identified the man who fled as Dennis Hicks, Clevenger said. Hicks was known to have an arrest warrant.

Officers searched the area for nearly an hour before locating him in the back yard of one of the residences. They arrested Dennis Hicks about 8:30 p.m. He is charged with Child Endangerment, Driving Without a License, and Violation of Parole.

Ah yes! Some call it very, very late term abortion. Take him to the river. Drop him in the water.

It’s good that he ran away. It saves the time that it takes to do all that paperwork then turn him loose in the morning. We keep making more and more rules, but nobody enforces them. If I sound cynical, I’m not, I’m way beyond that.

If you want to get rid of law enforcement, put the criminals in jail, then we won’t need that many cops. A very small percentage of people break the law, but it seems like the north coast is overrun with crime.

and its a direct result of not educating your kids. McK is cranking them out lately, so we should probably set aside some serious funding to deal with what is coming. and i am being serious.

Well, at least Mr. Hicks chose to uphold local standards:
1. Abandoned vehicle? Check.
2. Fled on foot? Check.
3. Retreated into a mobile home park? Check.
He passes.

I saw him many times…Dan passed away in 2016 from Pneumonia. To honor Dan on the first anniversary of Dan Hicks passing, Surfdog Records released Greatest Licks – I Feel Like Singin’, a compilation album paying tribute and celebrating Dan’s life and legacy, in February 2017.

Well, maybe. Is he drunk and strung out on meth? If so, he is a definite pass.

Runs off, leaving the minors with the CHP’s…

Gets charged with child endangerment…

🤔🧐🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Sounds about right…

I’d say it was a smart move, actually…
It’s better than fleeing in the vehicle, with the minors…

That would have been child endangerment for sure…

This guy was found guilty in 2019 of evading a sheriffs deputy and starting a high speed chase after running off from a traffic stop, the chase was called off due to dangers and he was apprehended later. He was easily identified due to the large swastika tattoo on the side of his head.

It’s a good thing the prison system is releasing these felons back onto the streets so quickly.
