Two Dead After Man Reportedly Shoots Woman and Himself on Burke Hill Drive South of Ukiah

Hands holding a gun [Matt LaFever] Gunshot wound icon

Scanner traffic around 9:30 p.m. stated that a male shot a female with a firearm and then shot himself on the 4000 block of Burke Hill Drive south of Ukiah.

The first report from a neighbor said that the female leaned out of a window and requested help because the male would not let her leave. The person reporting this told law enforcement that there might also be two children in the residence.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the residence and medical units were told to stage until law enforcement made sure there was no danger.

Soon after that, medical units were canceled after law enforcement on scene confirmed both parties were deceased.

Many aspects of the Emerald Triangle’s rural lifestyle lend themselves to suicide risk factors. Those risk factors, as described by the Center for Disease Control, include barriers to health care, social isolation, and high rates of adverse childhood experiences.

Please remember, if you or a loved one are suffering from mental distress there are many resources that can be accessed including:

  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255
  • Crisis Text Line: Text CONNECT to 741741

In efforts to educate the public regarding suicide prevention, the following infographic from the National Institute of Mental Health provides guidance in warning signs associated with suicide:

Please remember that this story is unfolding. Information is being reported as we gather it. However, some of the information coming from witnesses and initial official reports could be wrong. We will do our best to get the facts but, in the case that something is inaccurate, we will update with correct information as soon as we can.

How on earth did our society survive the rural lifestyle in the past?

Before all this modernization, globalization and the flood of cheap goods made by poor people halfway across the globe.

Before men who felt trapped in a womans body , and vice versa.

Before kids were addicted to sugar and video games?

They had to grow their own food and provide goods and services to the community.

You cannot ignore the fact that change has consequences, and maybe Bill Gates will succeed in fooling people that these viruses were not actually created for the sole purpose of dealing with the over population in a service economy.

That virus hardly made a dent in the population, people and governments powerful enough to make such a thing, don’t want to reduce population.

More people=more money and that’s all any of them care about.

A reduction of half the world’s population would be a good thing, hopefully 1 day that happens.

All of the richest and most powerful people openly talk about reducing the population. Even that fake guru guy that everyone loves says he “wants less souls on the planet”. Not conspiracy, it’s all there for anyone to see.

Psst… whatever money the rich and the politicians keep removing from circulation will be replaced by printing presses and the federal reserve. That paper ain’t worth jack-diddly squat. That’s why the cost of goods and inflation keeps going up. The Marxists… err democrats… have been lying to you that it’s the rich taking all the money. It’s not about who dies with the most toys wins… it’s about control of all goods and commerce.

So you’re denying that this is occurring? It sure is. How many billionaires have been created in the last 25 years and how much has average salary risen in the same time period? I’ll let you do the research. If you’re really an old guy; you’ve got the time.

Idk. Wouldn’t a service economy want many cheap laborers? Did Gates invent viruses, or did they exist prior to him getting rich by ripping off his nerd friends in the ’80s?

Neo feudalism point blank.

There was a point when people were needed to do the work to keep the masses fed, now they’ve got indoor vertical farming that will feed the elite, while the masses struggle to deal with the toxic build up of crap in our soils.

The great replacement starts with the whites because they are the ones to blame. If history has taught us anything, they won’t stop there.

Remember, they don’t think like you, and they know that they have to neutralize a good portion with sickness and disease and hunger.

If we had famine in this area, I guarantee you that these stories that champion our concern over mental illness would evaporate real quick.

If taking down the global economy was a strategy, take a moment to ponder how much of a head start these people have.

In war, counter offensive measures need to be on the board before they are ever needed.

Look at our society, do you have any idea where this is heading?

If you don’t , you need to recalibrate your operating system to a different setting.

Don’t be a truckatarian…

It’s not just Bill Gates and his ilk. Democrats and liberals are on a race to the ethical and moral bottom. Vote republican across the board in 2022 and 2024 or be prepared for a huge increase in the chaos and violence we’re already experiencing.

Suicide warning, seriously??? Wtf.

GENDER BASED HOMICIDE WARNING :
Being female in a relationship with a man raises your risk of assault and murder exponentially.

Or how about a gun control public service blurb?

“Every month, an average of 70 women are shot and killed by an intimate partner. Nearly 1 million women alive today have reported being shot or shot at by intimate partners, and 4.5 million women have reported being threatened with a gun by an intimate partner. ”

A woman’s greatest risk of murder is not by a random assailant or another woman as is the case with men killing other men, but by her male partner, spouse, or lover.

Controlling and abusive men and the pom pom shaking cheerleaders that support them make me sick. 🤮

I find the editorial choice to highlight suicide risk, and make this about the dude who
cowardly killed himself after terrorizing and taking the life of his lover, instead of focusing on the obvious real and actual risk of murder to women by their gun toting bed mate is seriously disturbing.

I have to ask why a woman would be attracted to lay with a person who might become unstable. I would think she would have more input to this decision than he.

Ask away! It tells me a lot about you.

The veil of secrecy and shame over the victim does not erase the reality that “men” routinely and DISPROPORTIONATELY assault and murder their female lovers.

There are more and more man-haters, with good reason. Don’t like it? Then start holding your self-absorbed , abusive and murderous brothers accountable and as a gender fucking get it together!

You are saying the urge to mate over rides common sense. Self preservation in my mind should be a more determining factor. Shutting ones eyes and hoping for the best isn’t the way we have to procreate.

No you’re saying that and trying to put the words in my mouth.

Read what I wrote. Nowhere do I remotely suggest that “the urge to mate over rides common sense.”

More like, the urge to be a selfish homicidal control- freak overrides a man’s instinct and duty to protect and nurture his lover, and shield children from trauma. And instead he abuses assaults and murders her. Then , like the coward most abusive men are, took his own life.

But see it as you like. Seem like lately every comment thread has now become a bizarre , derailing and politically-charged, grandstanding mess. There’s little chance of meaningful discourse.

I will say that jerks like this guy that are hellbent on being a part of the growing population of femicide perpetuators should just start at the end, and off themselves first.

I know it is easy just to dismiss my comment as victim blaming but I can’t control other males behavior. I am asking why someone would be attracted to an alfa type, bad boy type, even though after two children they know this can be unstable. It makes no sense to me. Be careful out there.

I can attest as an alpha, my mother was the one who beat the shit outta me. Time outs are for pussies, you need to learn how to take a beating so you know what works in the real world.

Exactly, why should we ignore the collapse of our society so we can have civil conversation about some shit that makes you feel good about your perspective.

Everything that distracts from this shit show of a bureaucracy is just another mindless streaming series on Netflix.

People seem to think that anger and violence, guns, are a modern day epidemic, I’d say it’s a behavioral psychologists under grad thesis. The person working on his/her post doctoral thesis funded by Darpa , the DOD, and even areas of the intelligence agencies, would recognize the method behind the madness, because the method was taught, and this new generation of sadistic spoiled brats are trying to figure out how to do one better.

Yep, come on out of the sandbox of the under graduate mindset, and recognize the new paradigm of post doctoral mind fuckery.

I believe this is more appropriate when a man murders Mom in front of her child…….
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 10 men experience sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner during their lifetimes.

Another adverse factor, constant, continual drug use. Lowers inhibitions, causes depression, but that is not to be mentioned…
