[UPDATE] Law Enforcement Convoy at Cannabis Farm Near Miranda This Morning
, a law enforcement convoy with about nine vehicles went up Barnum Road to a cannabis farm. One of the law enforcement vehicles was pulling a Kabota on a trailer.
According to the neighbors, the property was a legal grow at one time.
We’ve requested more information from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department.
UPDATE: The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that this is the Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) at the property. At this time, they have not released any more information.

Hooray for the flower police!!!
“GOD” forbid they should actually raid something dangerous such as a Meth Lab or a Fentanyl Dealer, but NO.. GOT to raid someone growing a HARMLESS PLANT!!!! A$$HOLE$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hatred from those who hate the police is so incredibly misguided that I have to wonder where it came from. I’ve seen the hostility. I’ve seen the attacks. And quite frankly, I’m sick of it. Out of context body cam footage. Black lives matter rallies. Protests against police officers who were completely and legally justified in officer-involved shootings. Nothing secures ratings like demonstrations against the police. But I want to ask a question to those of you who hate the police.
Do you actually know any?
Nobody wants to be judged by their appearance. Whether it’s by the color of your skin or the uniform you wear. Judgement made by appearance and not by character is a failure of the human soul.
Lets look at law enforcement .Sheriff arrested for sneaking drugs into the jail .Sheriff blew off a little girls hand with illegal fire works. Sheriff kills girlfriend falling of back of motor cycle while driving drunk. How about that pepper spray on cue tips put in protesters eyes
Not to mention the Antifa Buses from last Summer, Billy STILL can’t find them!!!
I was there!
You’re confusing reality with hate.
It comes from the eyes of children who watched their mom getting dragged accross a field by someone with a badge. I have no sympathy for any badge carrying asshole, yeah all of them.
What incident are you referring to?
A generation of kids up here grew up with the destruction of their peaceful home life at the hands of heavily armed law enforcement officers being a commonplace occurence
Four letters, CAMP
I watched several generations of lawlessness and drug abuse come and go here. COKE was replaced with crystal meth and a plethora of other illicit drugs. Schitt happens when you raise your children on an illegal pot farm. All CAMP raids must be conducted by armed law enforcement, as they’re generally outgunned by the local criminals. Don’t forget that the legislators who are responsible for all these raids are democrats that rule from Sacramento.
You very clearly don’t have an understanding of what happened in this area. The heavily armed grow came after the heavy hand of CAMP. Many of the first wave of CAMP raids were on homesteads that no better armed than any rural home ought to be.
If you think that mitary weaponry and tactics is justified by the presence of a plant that has been a close friend of humanity for 5000 years then I can only hope that one day you can move past your trauma bonded fetish for violence and authority.
And CAMP was actually a federally funded program, emerging during the Reagan years and peaking in violence under the Bush 1 and Clinton years, carried on through the Bush 2 years and eventually scaled way back under Obama.
I’ve forgotten more about CAMP operations that you’ll ever know. Your facts are skewed to fit your biased reality. If you have a problem with CAMP you should contact your representatives in Sacramento who run the CAMP operation. “trauma bonded fetish for violence and authority” That’s about the most misinformed post I’ve read in quite some time. We, as a nation, state, county, and city, are and must be one of laws, and not of people. The rule of law ensures that “the humblest is the peer of the most powerful,” as Supreme Court Justice John Marshall Harlan (one of my legal heroes) once observed.
Law enforcement workers, however, need increased protection against their constant exposure to violence. They are also at the mercy of contagious and infectious human and animal diseases. They also face the dangers of infected needles, chemical threats, and biological hazards.
Because they face greater and more risks, law enforcement workers need specialized PPE. They need to have access to protective gear that is effective against these threats.
You mean a generation of kids watched their parents committing a crime and get busted
Have you seen a mother being dragged across a field?
I have no particular issues with the cops, in general, just some of their actions, such as this colossal waste of taxpayer $$$!!!
You could have fooled me…
I could say something about you in return but it would NEVER make an appearance, I’m not allowed to insult Posters but others are & have MANY times insulted their fellow commenters!!!! But my even slightly off-color comments never make it past moderation!!!
It is not an insult to imply that he thinks you have an issue with law enforcement.
Please indicate where I insulted you, as that’s not my style…
Yeah we all know that you are easily fooled.
We? Do you have a frog in your pocket?
Do you think you and I are the only two people on this fourm?
Do you speak for all of us?
That was my poor attempt at humor.
Not by you…
In the eyes of a law enforcement agent, everyone is guilty and presumed dangerous until that citizen is handcuffed and loaded into their car.
Nullified the dangerous aspect, but you’re still guilty until proven innocent. Yeah, i adore and appreciate them…
Perhaps you should call a hippie when you’re in danger…
You would likely get a far better, faster response if you did, “Call a Hippie”!!!
Then we know who you’ll call when in danger…Good luck.
For real.
Divide and conquer:
Power 101
That’s paranoid.
That’s History.
can you find another explanation for the extreme amount of consolidation of wealth and power?
“Ignorance”
Can you?
Police have a role in society, but they should be held up to a higher level of scrutiny and accountability because of their power.
No police, and people become their worst selves. Look at the tenderloin SF, (or all of SF), downtown Portland etc.
Too much police power and they abuse the people they work for, that’s why we have black people protesting in the streets.
The balance is key. I think we should pay them more, get the best and the smartest, hold them to a higher level of scrutiny and make sure they know, they work for us, the tax paying public.
Not sure why someone would down vote this. Makes perfect sense to me.
Law enforcement is the activity of some members of government who act in an organized manner to enforce the law by discovering, deterring, rehabilitating, or punishing people who violate the rules and norms governing that society.[1] The term encompasses police, courts, and corrections. These three components may operate independently of each other or collectively, through the use of record sharing and mutual cooperation.
“Protests against police officers who were completely and legally justified in officer-involved shootings.”
The vast majority of protests start when a cowardly pig shoots an unarmed man in the back. “Justified” because it is a capital felony to be born black.
White privilege much?
P.S.: I am Irish with lily-white skin and fiery red hair. I am aware of our society outside of my living room. And outside of Sean Hannity.
The only society outside of your living room that truly matters is your community. Hammity is a mouth piece of the oligarch class in America, who do you speak for?
Haha really? I mean that’s pretty pragmatic and all and ya, that’s what you deal with at the end of the day but to suggest that billions of people outside of “your community” don’t matter rubs me the wrong way for some reason.
Americans, have their heads up their asses, when it comes to tangible awareness of the billions of people who struggle with corruption in their governments.
I am not too far off when I point out vacation destinations of most people are not in places where your apathy and ignorance sticks out like a albino in sub Sahara Africa.
The people who suffer around the world, seeing the money laundering in chief spend billions with the trickle up philosophical belief system, are probably hoping Putin invades their country too.
Next time you’re in serious danger, I suggest you call a WOKE hippie for assistance…You’re way out of line.
I’m extremely grateful and happy to have been born an American.
You’re absolutely correct. Howard Zinn describes this very well in “A People’s History of the United States.” Law and the power structures that support and enforce it are set up entirely to protect property and the people who control it. If one doesn’t have resources, one’s role in this system is limited. Protection almost always goes to those who have the most resources with the federal government of course being on top. Think landlord- tenant, employer-employee, indigenous – settler. Accountability in law and enforcement is what is needed but so is compassion and of course after constantly being exposed to the worst in humanity that might be easier for those standing outside to want than for those sworn to protect to actually muster.
Some of the incidents protested/rioted by BLM were not problematic imo, and statistically once an interaction with law enforcement has begun, all races have about the same odds of being abused (check the FBI unified crimes stats) therefore BLM is motivated by unintentional racism and ignorance at it’s core. But overall police do abuse their authority as a matter of course.
They ask personal questions that citizens feel they must answer, otherwise the officer will consider it suspicious.
“Where are you coming from?”
“where are you headed?”
They also request ID with no legal right to do so and rely on intimidation to get people comply.
Also, they enforce laws that a majority of citizens do not agree with, like busting cannabis farms for anything other than environmental crimes that exceed what would be allowed in other forms of agriculture.
That being said, a friend of mine is a local LEO and I can say that some of them are trying to do the best they can within the system.
Check out Long Island Audit on youtube.
Overall police do a great job under difficult circumstances…
They do an average job, under difficult circumstance (which they often create themselves). Some of them do a great job and some are horrible.
Call a hippie in your next emergency.
The wire is the gsoat
If I had a dime bag for every time I heard this response on this site…..I’d probably get raided.
Then released
Have you tried the “Beans in your ears” method of not hearing things???
I wonder if the dope industry could make Kleenex tissues out of the plants? Seems to be an awful lot of crying in the dope growing game.
Harmless plant. Harmful humans.

Hooray for KOobota
“was a legal grow at one time”
Interesting, it seems that all of the busts lately are either in the process, or have their permit. Looks like they are letting the black market mega-grows slide this year, again. I wonder if the county and sheriffs office are getting paid off by the cartels? Fentanyl anyone?
It’s easy enough to explain they already have them right where they want them, so to speak, a ‘Captive Audience’!!! Take out the ‘Low Hanging Fruit’ first!!!
The legal cannabis system isn’t designed to function for small operations. Sadly many people tried to make it work hoping for the best. Lots of reasons why permits lapse, but atleast you get your wish and they are getting busted.
Must’ve run outta “illegal” grows 🤣…time to go to the legals and extort (steal) more $$$!
The tax man cometh.
Wonder how much the gas bill is for that convoy and machinery? How much do one of these raids cost the county?
Too damned much, no matter what the actual cost!!!
With all that cash and product that they steal, it should be more than covered!
The helicopter pilot extorts big growers at the casino, and if they don’t pay they get raided. Notice , they’re more like CAMP. ? Some have code violations with court dates…. Or the two Mexican grows, they came, cut down plants and leave with no arrests or receipts, or court dates. There’s no money in meth,
That’s a lie…
Way to go, keep it up LEO’s!!! I will contribute any day to LEO rather than some poorly managed social program being administered by some lazy beast in a County, City, State office somewhere!
Prometheus below is spot on. Real Facts (hardly) and Legallettuce are absolutely delusional and bringing all sorts of non related incidents to the discussion.
Someone claiming this is a HARMLESS PLANT, you can’t say that without a snicker if you have been paying attention to the associated drugs at every grow, harm to the environment, and the destruction of our communities from growing this plant.
Should we talk about your medicine cabinet Bill?
It’s so harmless that I smoke minimum 2 grams a day and can still work full time and raise 3 kids on my own. And I grew it all by meself.
Humboldts war on illegal farms is the same thing as the war on drugs everyone who has a legal farm blames black market for all the problems they are having when in fact the black market has nothing to do with the legal market legal market you go to the store and buy your gram or eighth or quarter oz maybe an oz the black market they buy bulk and a lot of times the same people who buy bulk go to the cannabis stores and spends money in there and they eat at restaurants and get motel rooms and gas they actually bring money to the community legal farms will always have a problem they laid in the with the state of California did they really think California was gonna make it easy legalization was a scam from the beginning
Some legal farms blame illicit farms, but many do not. Those that do are just desperate for a solution and this target seems like a easy fix. I’ll agree with you, that in the triangle most illicit farms sell to bulk buyers. However many buyers in Sac and further south but illicit because it’s more affordable, often better quality. There are far too few retail outlets across the state and that’s impacting things too. Legalization had a chance to be done right, but the biggest issue I see is that the legacy farmers just couldn’t maintain a strong enough political effort to hold their position. There was some wins along the way, but even more loses.
“Legalization” under the proposition written by Napster dude for the corporations NEVER had a chance to be done right. People were too stupid or stoned to read the actual proposition clearly. And now you are toast…Enjoy!
Oh so I’ve heard from you before. Somehow you could see all the way through it and predicted the events of today. A true cannabis Nostradamus. Well not really. There was many times the statues and regulations changed along the way. The acreage cap being the first. But it’s past now and the over supply across the nation will not turn back.
PS: I think you know full well that many triangle persons voted against prop 64. It was passed with the votes of all the city dwellers down south. I don’t think that many people were stoned or stupid. They just saw a clear injustice and prop 64 can along at the critical moment.
You give me too much credit. I was only reasonably intelligent- which was probably way more than you were? The acreage cap was never guaranteed in the proposition, I addressed that here on RHB in one of my many informative tirades AGAINST this “legalization”. Indeed that’s where my name came from..It’s a Farce which I shortened to Farce. It Was a Farce. And now it is coming to pass. The Napster Dude proposition referred every decision at the state level to a committee made up of state-appointed representatives. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to predict that in a state as dominated by Big Agro as CA that that committee would not be looking out for the interests of little Mom n Pop. I stated all of my objectons clearly at that time. But many wanted to believe in fairy tales and called me “negative”. Either you weren’t here at that time or you did as many others and stuck your head in the sand imagining unicorn fantasies. In any case you are now portraying me as a negative and hateful guy but the reality is that you are a bitter loser and angry that I am calling out your predicament as a logical result or your own foolishness. Sorry not sorry. We had a great run. Then we had a whole bunch of greedy and selfish assholes roll in. The unity was lost, there was no response to the corporate “legalization” and everybody scrambled to make their own fortune. And that’s how we destroyed our community and allowed them to take away our industry- the one that we built. Candy from babies. They laugh at you…
Damn it makes me sad. I like reading your stuff FARSE you nail it.
Calling everyone who tried to find a way through the licensing system a permit pansies and blaming them for enforcement raids is overwhelmingly negative. Your comments consistently sound bitter and hateful. I understand that when someone disagrees with you then you feel justified to attack them. Claiming an attitude of superiority because you saw the myriad of issues with the legalization isn’t that impressive.
I consistently argued for changes to regulations since 2015 during the initial draft regs for the NCRWQCB discharge permits. I tried to make it better here and there, but we did not control the passing of prop 64. I didn’t vote for it.
The main flaw of your position is suggesting unity could have saved the local industry and prevented the community destruction. The fragmented nature of the industry here never lent its self to organized political activity needed for legalization at the state level.
Again I don’t grow or have a license, but know so many people in the business I’ve tried to make things better. Has it worked? It’s been a mixed bag locally and I learned a lot along the way so no regrets on my end. At the state level we got our asses kicked, but I don’t see a reasonable path to defeating the corporate legalization. It just wasn’t ever gonna happen.
No one took the industry away from us, they just built a bigger more modern version that out preformed the antiquated small legacy triangle farms. Yes the ride was good and all good things come to an end. That day has arrived mostly. Those who wish to still try for some more good times should be allowed to without having to hear your constant bitter attacks and arrogant claims of knowing better.
Proposition 64 did not pass in the emerald triangle. But the train was moving and it couldn’t be stopped. Even all your bitching on the internet has done nothing to stop what has happened.
Education. You call it bitching because you don’t like it. But take one part of what I say and prove it wrong. Yeah- debate me on the actual facts or the issue. C’mon. I dare you…
Debating a troll is a waste of time.
What we see today was almost entirely out of our control. I will say that almost all small legacy farmers were never skilled enough to build a business and brand large enough to make the transition. Trying to get a coop built was like herd cats.
Half of the permit holders didn’t “renew” their permits this year………..Get ready for more of this.
Yep, it’s gonna get worse. Epically bad in Trinity.
Is over production and over regulation the enemy of our cannabis industry?
I see some of both being factors. The over production being a problem because of limited retail outlets. The over regulation makes the local cost of production too high, to compete with firms down south. There wasn’t ever much chance to compete with them at scale anyways. Most everything happening was reasonably foreseeable. I had hoped the farmers would have created brands for craft right away, and I did encourage many to do so, but I think most small operators got lost in the commotion of licensing.
…..
….
I only see one large operation up there.. Someone paid over $100,000 to repair the road a few years ago..
..
…..
Cat got your tongue?
The cop haters get a little bit tedious here. Any grow thing big enough to need a Kubota to deal with a bust sounds a little balls-out and needing a little de-tuning.
On the other hand cop worshippers get a little tedious too. Cops are necessary, sometimes overkill, sometimes lame, sometimes taking liberties, sometimes hamstrung by rules, a good representation of the imperfection of the world in general.
Simple math a 10k sq ft grow
Can supply 50 chronic smokers for a years stash. The rest is garbage.
So we are spending tax money on 20 employees to shut down 50 people smoking weed getting and eat lots of snacks. Maybe 1 of the 50 has epilepsy and uses it for medicine the other 49 just get stoned and watch movies.
What’s the problem?
Police who protect and serve are awesome. Made respect.
Police who enforce the law are pigs.
10,000 ft.² can do 1200+ pounds a season, full term, full sun. For the record…
Good work LEO
Criminals don’t like cops. Most issue’s arise when someone is breaking a law, and not random attacks by law enforcement. Most complaints are from friends and relatives of offenders, who have done something to involve the police. Being mad because you break the law and get caught is not a good argument. There are bad actors in all professions. How can anyone complain about local law enforcement when the “rulers” of our country are so f…ed up! There are bigger issues to overcome.
oh ,maybe cuz I have to deal with the local 50 pulling me over ,searching my ride without my permission and calling my carpentry and concrete tools, , burglary tools while his partner has a gun drawn, that’s why I complain about local [edit]
They can’t search without either consent or a warrant unless, of course, you are on probation with a search clause. If that’s the case, you have only yourself to blame.
Do you have history as a burglar?
hell no I didn’t consent to a search and I am not on paper for anything, This happened in real time and before camera’s. In the real world the cops just have to say they have probable cause. They found a roach in my ash tray and they called their sup to the crime scene and he was pissed at his little nazi storm trooper and he had me step on the roach and grind it into the pavement
its all illegal
