Bank Robbery at Coast Central Credit Union in Fortuna Midday

, Colleen Toste, confirmed with us by phone, that the Fortuna branch of Coast Central Credit Union on Main Street was robbed today around 1:25 p.m.

Toste said the credit union and their employees are working with Fortuna Police and the FBI. She did not have a confirmed amount of cash taken during the robbery, nor could she confirm or deny whether there was a weapon used by the suspect.

According to Toste, no bank employees were hurt during the robbery and the branch was able to reopen and resume business as usual by 3 p.m.
