Two Arrested Near Willits for Transporting Living Marijuana Plants
This is a press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On 05-06-2022 at about 11:30 PM a Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Deputy noticed a vehicle towing a trailer traveling southbound on Highway 101 in Willits, California.
The Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for numerous vehicle code violations. The Deputy contacted two subjects in the vehicle who identified as Jesus Paredes [age 24 from Clearlake], and Juan Marquez-Diego [age 36 from Clearlake].
The subjects consented to a search of their vehicle and trailer. Inside the trailer, Deputies found 128 approximately 2 foot tall growing marijuana plants.
The Deputy learned the pair were traveling from Covelo (California) to Clearlake (California) with the plants. The subjects did not have any paperwork to show these plants were possessed legally.
Paredes and Marquez-Diego were arrested for transportation for sale of marijuana (11360 HS) and conspiracy to commit a crime (182 PC).
Paredes and Marquez-Diego were booked to the Mendocino County Jail to be held in lieu of $20
,000.00 bail each.

I thought Transportation and sale were misdemeanors and only environmental enhancements could create felonies.
Once you pass the 100 count it is all down hill. Hope they paid for them.If the deal was take these plants and we get half the finished product these boys can be in for some “situations.”
Plant numbers are a thing of the past. Besides it was really only the old Humboldt county DA specifically that was not prosecuting 99 plants or below

correct they have better things to do unless it is something that is a critical hazard , you are supposed to be able to travel free of harassment . Stopping someone for a cracked windshield or some such then imposing your will to persuade people to allow you to search through their belongings on the side of the road doesnt sound like something people should be doing in a supposedly free nation , maybe commie Russia but not here at home, and if you feel we need to be more like commie russia please take a trip over there and try demanding your will to that government

Glad I always grow for personal smoke, experimentation, and to give it away freely! I still have like 9 or 10 pounds from last year, and I loooove rolling huge hoglegs for my friends, family, and any other stoner to smoke! Endless choices of genetics and now I don’t ever fear being raided or robbed. Life is good for me when it comes to growing.
