Humboldt Grace Legacy Project Launches ‘Comprehensive White Paper’
This is a press release from the Humboldt Grace Legacy Project:
White Paper The Humboldt Grace Legacy ProjectThe Humboldt Grace Legacy Project (HGLP) is a collaborative working group founded by Lelehnia Dubois which seeks to defend, preserve and promote small, independent/craft farmers and breeders. The group is made up of cannabis industry leaders specializing in breeding; cultivation; community building; science and technology. Over the past year, HGLP has developed a robust and innovative strategy to preserve, defend and increase the value of Legacy Cannabis products. We are developing a yearly auction event which will utilize unique distributed ledger technology and smart contracts to create a new system for securing and tracking cannabis genetics through the supply chain.
Genetic protection is a wonderful idea in concept but it faces challenges from an industry that historically could not be open about their work and where genetic fraud and IP theft are rampant. It is critical that trust is carefully cultivated between the breeders, the technology, and the community. Our working group has been meeting weekly online and we host in-person open meetings to facilitate active community engagement and project development.
The HGLP is releasing a comprehensive white paper which details the Auction design and all associated technologies which are being developed in tandem with the group. The paper is a snapshot of our group’s on-going work and will be utilized to expand our collaborative networks, raise investment for the Auction event and spread the word about how legacy operators can increase the value of their craft products.

Polygon’s blockchain is built upon the Etherium cryptocurrency. Etherium is modeled after Bitcoin, which in turn was engineered using concepts first developed by the NSA.
Who says there is no such thing as a Peace Dividend?
I have always thought that the only possible good thing from prop 64 would be the ability for the Home grower to purchase diverse and exciting genetics from a nursery. This seems like a step in the right direction. I would never have predicted that every nursery would be selling the exact same 20 strains 4 years in…
One of the problems with prop 64 is that it put a time limit on officially entering seeds into metrc and that time limit has now elapsed.
It’s not clear to me how one would go about legally introducing new genetics (not bred from currently registered seeds) into the legal market
Lele is an inspiration. I’ve only had the chance to speak with her on a few occasions but the things she said in those conversations have resonated in my mind years later. Great work, Lele and everyone else involved!
