Three Arrested Following Attempted Homicide Investigation, Pursuit

Firearms drugsThis is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On February 21, 2022, at about 4:25 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 1800 block of 27th Street, in the county’s jurisdiction of Arcata, for the report of shots fired.

Deputies arrived at the residence and contacted two male victims. During their investigation, deputies learned that earlier in the evening the victims observed a vehicle driving up and down the residential street at a high rate of speed. The victims reportedly yelled to the driver of the vehicle to slow down. According to the victims, the vehicle stopped outside the residence and two juvenile males exited the vehicle. The juveniles confronted the victims and then reportedly fired multiple shots at the victims prior to fleeing the area. The victims did not sustain injuries from the incident.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., a Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol in the Eureka area observed the suspects’ vehicle on the 2600 block of Broadway Street. The deputy attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, at which point the vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. Deputies pursued the vehicle onto U.S. Highway 101, during this time observing the driver commit multiple vehicle code violations. The California Highway Patrol and the Fortuna Police Department were requested to assist with the pursuit. The Fortuna Police Department successfully deployed a strike strip, disabling the vehicle in the area of U.S. Highway 101 near 12th Street in Fortuna.

A 17-year-old male driver and an adult female passenger were taken into custody without further incident. The juvenile male was found to be on probation, in addition to having a warrant for his arrest. Additionally, the male was positively identified as one of the suspects in the shooting investigation earlier that afternoon.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies located two loaded firearms, one of which had been modified to be fully automatic. Additionally, deputies located over 900 Fentanyl pills and over one pound of cannabis.

As deputies continued their investigation, the second juvenile suspect was identified as a 15-year-old male. On February 22, at about 2:37 a.m., sheriff’s deputies served an arrest warrant at a residence on the 2500 block of Alliance Road in Arcata, with the assistance of the Arcata Police Department. The second juvenile male suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.

The select fire switches were actually sold on Wish.com for a few months as “airsoft” accessories and there are plans online for 3d printing them too. It’s really easy to put them onto any Glock.

Their ages 15,17,19. Again, no punishment for the parents. My kids are 14 and 15 years old and I talk to them regularly about the fury I will lay on them if they try and go rogue on society. I know other parents also take responsibility this way, but many don’t. Is their laws that hold parents responsible? Maybe minors should share the same charges with their parent. I would hate for that to happen as I regularly dig deep to “engage” with my brats, but would be so much easier to let them run wild. 4 more years, then maybe my kids will act as adults. Be careful people, these hoodlum yutes, will hurt or kill you just for pointing out the obvious.

Thank you. You’re right being a parent requires honesty, hard-work and dedication.
And a healthy dose of (rarely) laying down the law!
It’s not a picnic everyday to raise decent human beings but it’s a privilege everyday!
My 3 adult kids are pushing 40 all have decent steady jobs and healthy lifestyles and they grew up here in the hills during camp and all that BS!
Me and their Mom still talk about how hard some of our parenting moments were but we never quit on them or ourselves!
I’m glad to hear you sound similar!
It’s too bad these kids don’t seem to have any parenting in their lives…

Damn, that 17 year old better realize this is his last possible. chance to make changes before it gets real. His charges are so huge it might actually work in his favor. It could come to 2 conclusions – they fully charge him and throw the book at him, or the judge decides “I can’t throw the same sentence at this kid as I would a 45 year old career criminal” and sentences him with some program and probation with possibly a suspended sentence. I guess all that might depend somewhat on his criminal history. Who knows, those are some serious charges.

The 17 year old is already on probation, with a warrant for his arrest, the article reads…..

Doesn’t their ages indicate a huge red flag. And Miss Summers should be investigated for inappropriate behavior with minors.

The girl is cute and has glasses so you know she sees an eye doctor. Kind of implies parents that cared, like possibly she grew up with parents that take her to doctors.

Imagine the conversation about this arrest “machine guns!!!! Fentanyl!!! Wtf were you thinking!!”

Your assessment of that girls situation is creepy. Cute and glasses only means cute and glasses. Doesn’t mean that Ward and June will give her what for when she comes in this evening.
She’s a kid, doing what kids do at this age. She’s discovering the unwanted reactions to her actions. And hopefully she reads kymkemp.com, so she can see the less obvious reactions to her actions, and get so creeeeped out that a convent sounds exciting enough for her future.

Stick those kids on a fire crew or something similar. They want to be little gangsters then channel that into some hard ass work going after a real enemy. The little punks have some gusto but their values are all messed up…

This is what happens when the whole community is dealing dope.mom n pop grow dope, all the kids other kids in school, their parents grow dope. No one has a proper job. Being a gangster is cool but doing an honest job is for suckers. Seen it with my own eyes when I was the only parent in the class with a taxpaying job.

Kind of true, sometimes. We call them green trash, and there are plenty around here. Their kids grow up to be the little thugs like described in this story. I’ve seen it plenty of times also.

This is much more a result of people watching politicians lawmakers and the social elites doing whatever they want and getting away with it . Children are not as stupid as most people assume and teenagers are very smart they just happen to act before thinking most of the time. When the whole world is going to shit and they are told to eat a shit smachich maybe just maybe they say f that and do like everyone else does and say f it and whos going to stop me and what does it matter. So many people beleive that teaching children hard work tow the line pay taxes and live a productive life is the right way , yet it seems more and more that those that follow that line of thinking are the suckers getting up everyday and busting their asses off for some boss who doesnt give a rats ass about them and will sell them down the river to make a buck or save his own ass for a company that is more concerned with how their stock is doing then the people they employ and it is the scammers the ones who learned how to play the system that never get up before noon who have all the toys and the free ride . So tell me , are e truly teaching the things that will give our children the happiest life or are we teaching them to merely be another cog in the machine for the man ?

Well thats true i know 3rd generation growers of the harmless herb plant. They have 0 skill 0 work ethic. And less desire to be productive outside of the big harvest. Then if they do make a buck. They blow it on vehicles to destroy trips and self. It may seem like the working class are suckers. But its not all about money. Being a productive member of a community. And developing yourself in meaningful employment. Or a buisness has many unseen benefits. Try it?

This makes me extremely sad.

Read 1984 by G Orwell. This Country is on a downward slide. Too many teens don’t even read books. Life is about social media and who likes me and who doesn’t. Greed and ME!! The select few who are the nerds understand education is the way to the righteous life. And parents who support their kids educational goals. Dumb and stupid are not understanding that we live a unique way of life that requires Gov’t BY The PEOPLE equates to not allowing another Trump like president and elected people who are only interested in making a buck at the lower class worker’s expense. There is something wrong with a Country that 9% of the population owns 99.9% of the wealth. And understanding decency and integrity are ways of life. The statue quo should not be, “sit on my ass and doing nothing”. If you can’t figure out what to do then you are easily manipulated by your Gov’t. Federal, State and local. The USA incarcerates more people than the leading 25 countries. And we spend more Taxpayers dollars on war materials than Russia, Europe, Asia and North and South Americas.

I have three sons, now grown men. Any other father in this world could not be more proud as I am of my sons. They each had their own “board of education” that I made, and used, when needed. They are all law -respecting, tax-paying, honest white color individuals. This new world of “time-out” and awards for every kid in school is BS.
And now it is coming to bite us all in the ass.
