New Special Air Compressor Protects Fieldbrook VFD
Press release from the Fieldbrook Volunteer Fire Department:
The Fieldbrook Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of a new special air compressor to refill their (SCBA) self contained breathing apparatus bottles. The department has already begun using the compressor after fires and training. Realizing the benefits of having a compressor on site, a campaign began two years ago to raise forty-thousand dollars necessary to acquire the system. Through the generosity of State Farm Insurance, Coast Central Credit Union, Chuck Chojnacki & Maria Brown, Gia Carrozzi, Mad River Rotary, and the community helped make it possible for the compressor to be purchased.
Chief Jack Sheppard stated, “The compressor for the Fieldbrook Volunteer Fire Department has been a game changer. We are able to train more effectively with our SCBA’s, refill our own bottles, and increase safety for our volunteers. We would like to thank all that voted during the State Farm Community Grant, and thank all that have supported the funding for our new compressor.”
The Fieldbrook Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to providing emergency service to its community and neighboring districts.
