Updated Quarantine and Isolation Guidance from the CDC and Humboldt County

Press release from Humboldt County Public Health:

Updated quarantine and isolation guidance for individuals testing positive for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status, is now available. The new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance allows for shortened isolation.

Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 should contact their primary care provider. If severely ill with COVID-19, isolate for at least 10 days.

If experiencing mild or no symptoms, it is recommended to stay home for at least five days and isolate from others. Isolation may end early after five full days if an individual:

  • Is fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication)
  • Has symptoms that are improving
  • Tests negative using an antigen test.

Isolation may end early after five full days if: -Fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) -Symptoms are improving -Testing negative using an antigen test -Wear a well-fitted mask for 10 full days

If ending isolation early, the CDC recommends taking the following extra precautions until day 10:

  • Wear a well-fitting mask for 10 full days when around others at home or in public. Do not visit places if unable to wear a mask
  • Avoiding travel
  • Avoiding being around people who are high risk.

To isolate at home, one should:

  • Seek medical care immediately if experiencing the following symptoms –trouble breathing, chest pain or pressure, confusion or inability to stay awake
  • Inform contacts and primary care provider of positive test results
  • Stay in a separate room from other household members
  • Use a separate bathroom, if possible – sanitize and ventilate bathroom between uses
  • Improve ventilation at home – use forced-air heating and  fans, open windows and use air cleaners
  • Avoid contact with other household members and pets
  • Don’t share personal household items, like cups, towels and utensils
  • Wear a well-fitting mask when around other people.

Questions about isolation and quarantine guidance may be directed to the Humboldt County COVID Information Call Center at 1-707-441-5000.

Use a separate bathroom , crack me up, anyone got a pair of toilets in their house bathroom. Does any care what the CDC has to say? Think how rich Pfizer could be if you could get the cdc to work with them.

Homes with two or more bathrooms are common. No idea what your first sentence was supposed to mean.

Three shots in less than a year, and still treated like a leper. I’d be pissed.

Any specific reason I’m back on Moderation, Kym? I’d like to know what to avoid in the future.

Sorry. I guess I wasn’t following my own advice, to tell someone to go the Hell in such a way that they look forward to the ride.

I am properly chastised.

“regardless of vaccination status”… why cause it doesn’t work.. thought the virus was supposed to end when it comes in contact with the vaccinated .

Yep.

The vaccines don’t stop infection.

And even with all the mask use, the infections are peaking again.

And there are no tests available.

So get vaccinated and boosted..

And be sure to wear your masks…

And, by all means, test, test, test.

And your only getting three days per year of sick leave, so the ten days that you really should isolate or quarantine for a Covid19 infection, (that was in place as the infections peaked anyway), forget about it, let’s just call it five, if you test, but there are no tests. The idea is, since Covid can’t be stopped, only two days off out of the five comes out of your pocket, not seven, because is isn’t going to make any difference, anyway, obviously, because so many people probably got Covid19 at work, and it really shouldn’t cost them so much, plus, we need them to get their asses back to work, because everyone is out sick, and that is costing the employers money, and we can’t have that. So come back to work sick, or not, we all have to follow the rules, work together, so we can stop this sickness that we can’t stop.

It works in terms of helping prevent infection and hospitialization, more so on hospitalaization. But once a person is infected, vaccinated or not, they can spread the virus.

Go home. Don’t take D,C,Zinc, Fluvoxamine, Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermec tin. If you begin to die, come to the hospital where we’ll put you on a respirator (because it pays well) where you will likely meet your demise.

It’s amazing that the cult still proudly brags about Fausti and the CDC as their sources. I suppose Jim Jones followers once bragged about following Jim Jones….until they died,

No one ever said not to take D, C, or Zinc.

The regimen of HCQ, zinc, and Azithromycin was roundly condemned bt the maskers early on, and many have derided the idea of using vitamins and minerals to maintain health during the last two years.

What rollin was pointing out was the absolute derision most maskers express when anything but a vaccine is brought up. So it may not have been everyone, but it sure wasn’t, “no one.”

I have to agree with this. My partner and I are very proactive in pursuit of the best preventive protocols, so we continually follow the latest studies regarding nasal sprays (Xlear and the like), black cumin seed oil, Benadryl and lactoferrin, etc.. When I share these findings with friends – those who are all about the vaccines – I am startled and dismayed at their indifference and even unspoken hostility. They radiate their disapproval, as if these things are undermining the war against covid. It seems it’s “the vaccine and nothing else”. “Okay, maybe zinc.” Vitamin D has its proponents but also its attackers. It is baffling to me, that there is a narrative going that says that to add to the arsenal of anti-covid measures, even if it’s augmenting the vaccines, is somehow wrong, almost treasonous. Very sad and troubling.

Most hospitalizations are people that were headed there for multiple health reasons and they just happened to test positive on their way in. If omicron was their demise, they were definitely already on their way out.
